Orly Gel FX Base Coat, 0.3 Fluid Ounce

Love this base coat! It does not last as long as the gel with the typical basecoat that required soaking in acetone. HOWEVER, if you have thin nails that are prone to damage from soaking and grinding off the gel, this is the perfect solution!! It allows me to peel the gel off very easily. The gel lasts about 2 weeks on my fingernails (but I also work with my hands a lot) it lasts about a month on my toenails! Love it, it keeps my nails looking beautiful and healthy!

Was using OPI at salon but it tore up my nails till they are too thin. Lots of research later decided to go with Orly Fx and am so glad. Takes a couple of applications to get the procedure down but my nails always look nice now and are healing. That said some tips: do not pick! Remover with remover only, did that once naw my nails were damaged. Once wrapped w foil & remover a slight bit if heat (heat pak, hair dryer) helps them come off easier. Very thin coats! Too thick and it will run into your cuticles. If your nails are thin like mine do 2coats of topcoat.

I rarely write reviews, but I wanted to warn you all 😭. I had heard that this brand was “healthier” so I wanted to try it. Unfortunately, my nail polish peeled and chipped very easily compared to other brand I used. HOWEVER, that’s not the worst part. I drove home for the holidays, packing this base coat inside a bag in my suitcase. When I unpacked, the SMELL was sooo strong and somehow sunk into my clothes and shoes?! There was a small leak, but not nearly enough to create the biohazard that seemed to unfold 😭 The smell was so bad in the AirBnB that we had to sleep in the living room. We had to open all the windows, wash all my clothes and shoes, throw out a few of my belongings, and clean basically ANY fabric that came near my suitcase. Just be aware if you’re sensitive to smells, it is VERY potent. I really hate to leave a negative review because I like the other products from this brand, but I wouldn’t recommend this base coat.

The gelFX base coat is awesome. I use it along with the primer on all my clients and myself. It last forever and only chips when the bottle gets old and needs replaced.

It goes on nice and dries great with my light. I did end up buying both the tip primer and the base coat in this brand due to peeling gel. It still peeled but it last 2 weeks first. So overall pretty good.

My husband uses this for tying flies. This product works great!

I have week nails from wearing false nails. this product is making them stong and resistant to breakages. love it

This product has an offensive smell that stinks my whole house. Will not use it again.

So far from all of the amazon gel polish I tried, this is the best quality one, hence the price. It actually makes your nail polish last longer. 100% would recommend as all Orly products are the best

Not great, maybe I’m using it wrong but it doesn’t keep my gel nails from peeling
