Great Standalone Story!
Zoraida Córdova is one of the best authors of our time. I'm convinced.I've always loved Star Wars and read so many EU books growing up, so it was really fun to pick up a Star Wars book again, especially once set in the new era (sequal trilogy)!Jules and Izzy (oh I could cry thinking of them!) are just AMAZING characters. You can't help but love them, hurt for them, feel like you understand them because they understand you. Córdova has such a way with characters and I have yet to find her equal! She is able to make them so realistic, with flaws and failures and weaknesses and rough edges, and yet they are so sympathetic and relatable. I see myself in both Jules and Izzy, and in experiencing their story, I feel like I have been emboldened to grow as a person. In the words of Jules, "Just because you get food poisoning one time, doesn't mean you stop eating." Truly, the themes of trust and selflessness in this story hits so close to home for me. So close. And I really appreciate the care with which Córdova handled that message. It was also especially fun to have all of the lore of Batuu in these pages! I haven't been to Disney's Galaxy's Edge yet, but reading this book makes me want to go so badly so I can walk where Jules and Izzy walked and really live in their shoes for a day! I want to tie a string on the wishing tree, and swim in the cenote, and touch the obilisk. I feel like I've already lived there in my spirit and I can't wait to do it physically someday!Plus, this book was a quick read! Exellently paced, I read this book in two days (and maybe slacked on some things but it was so worth it!) I just loved living in these pages and I can't wait to read it again when I'm in a reading slump or need a cozy adventure.

On the run
This one was a bit different than the other Star Wars books I have read but it did touch on many familiar places. The story is basically centered around a main character showing their life growing up from a very young girl till she was 18. She grew up partially on the planet and made a friend and had adventures and thought life was normal. After suddenly leaving one day during the night her entire life changed and her family moved around the galaxy. At 18 on her own when she finally returns to the only world she had really considered home on a mission she runs into an old friend. At this point the adventure follows the two of them. There's some mystery and intrigue in the story and enough variety of characters to help keep you truly interested. By the end of the story everything has changed and her life will now be very different once again. Like all books in the Star Wars world there is an entire galaxy of possibilities to work with. I felt they did an excellent job blending old and new characters together and yet giving us what felt like a very fresh story approach. There are elements of the empire and the resistance which gives you an idea of when this one takes place in the timeline. In the end you're left wanting to know what's next for our main characters. Hopefully I will get the follow up with more of their adventures.

Fun read.
Well written and fun to read. Consistent with others based on Batuu. But … this book is an uncorrected advance proof “not for sale”. So somebody sold it to me when they shouldn’t have. It’s brand new just it’s not perfect.

Love it! This is a must read for all!
I listened to this book on audible originally and I loved the story! I bought the book because I enjoyed listening to it so much and the book is absolutely beautiful. I love that the image art is printed directly on the book. I am a huge Star Wars fan, but what’s great about this story is you don’t really have to know much about Star Wars to read it. It’s about two very separate characters that you will not see in any other film or book. Rather, this is a stand-alone book. It is very well-written love story that follows two very likeable characters as they travel around Batuu, which is the planet the land in Disneyland takes place on.In this book, you really get a feel for the culture on the planet. Whereas the book “Black Spire” explains more about how the rebels got to the planet, how the millennium falcon got there, etc, this story is shorter and more about the people on the planet. Don’t get me wrong, “Black Spire” is definitely about people, but there is more of an overarching plot in that book that is perfect for huge Star Wars fans. But if you don’t know much about Star Wars and just want to learn more about the land at Disneyland/world before you take your trip, definitely read this book! If you plan to read both books, I would recommend reading “Black Spire” first, as this book takes place chronologically after ”Black Spire”. I would also recommend listening to it on audible if you can. There are tons of amazing sound effects that make both books come to life.I absolutely fell in love with the characters in this story and would recommend it to anyone who either loves a good tale about two people finding each other and falling in love or loves an exciting Star Wars story!!

Young adult Star Wars with a smuggler and a farm boy
I like this novel for what it is which is a tale about finding yourself from two perspectives. A tale of youth and growing up. The first order and the resistance are on the periphery but this tale could be set in amy sort of space fantasy setting or even science fiction setting unique to its tale. That I think is part of its strength as SW has had a lot of problems before and after disney.Read this if you like a good simple tale with a few twists written for a young audience primarily. I liked the characters and the main world. Well done. I picked this up for free during some sort of special and I am glad that I gave it a shot.

Excellent
The quality of writing here is great. It's a great story with good character development. Too often in other books, thought is only given to the main characters, but in this one attention has been given to most of them. The story flowed well and nothing seemed contrived. This is in the top five of my favourite Star Wars books.

Excelente
El libro llegó en perfecto estado. La historia es muy entretenida, y más si ya tuviste la oportunidad de ir a los parques de Disney y pasar un rato en Batuu

Star Wars senza Star Wars

Awesome book. One of my favourite book from the Disney Star Wars era was Lost Stars. This story is right up there with that one. You never know how one person in one day will change your life. This book is set in the during the Force Awakens era after the First Order declaration of war. This is not an action packed story but it very enjoyable. Star Wars is the backdrop for the story however Zoraida Cordove describes the Star Wars Universe perfectly.Izzy and Jules story is awesome. This book is a great look at how every day people live their lives in the Star Wars universe. I really like new characters being added to the Star Wars. Never underestimate a farm boy the greatest hero on Star War was a farm boy.I really hope to see these characters again, I hope thos book leads into the Black Spires but I doubted it. This is feel good story, none of the big guns appear here but you never know where these characters might re-appear.
