Nice sturdy rack. Very well written installation guide. Took about 4 hours to install, 2.5hrs of which were securing the 4 metal bars to the ceiling joists. As mentioned when ordering this came as 2 separate packages and in our case they were about 10 days apart. Given that first package contained the metal bars for the ceiling and side drop downs, it would have been nice if the instructions and installation hardware came with the that package. That way one could install the time consuming ceiling bars and have them ready when the 2nd package arrived.

Definitely a 2 person install job; Measure three times, drill once! Would suggest using a socket attachment for drill to drive lag screws, as a manual socket wrench would be cumbersome working on ladder near ceiling. We were off on one of the ceiling brackets by about 3/8 inch and it cascaded into the wire shelf supports not locking in place; Had to re-hang the support bracket--now in the market for spackle. Installation is relatively easy and straight forward; just read and reread the booklet first, understand everything and take your time.

Holds a large amount items including a car top carrier that was always in the way. I’ve mounted a total of 2 racks above a 2 car garage double door. One on each side of the garage door opener track. When the garage door is in the open position you can’t even see the racks. The weight of the items placed on it is not an issue unless you’re storing bricks or something unusually heavy. Installation is a pain to do by yourself but it’s doable.

Shout out here to the seller.I ordered 4x6 rack, but the seller inadvertantly shipped C channel beams for 4x8 sized rack instead.we just realised this half way through installation. Messaged seller abt it, they responded quick to ship right size Beams. i asked to ship an extra wired deck instead so that i can just install the 4 x 8 as i started mounting already.Seller agreed and quickly shipped an extra deck to make up for the shipping mistake.As for the product, these are sturdy good quality racks and is rebranded here, but i received the same Costco brand Safe Racks .

This item is just what I needed. It is strong, comes with parts to lower or higher it. I bought two but only had room for one. The customer service responded very quickly and refunded me so fast. Great product! Great Service.

It is relatively easy to install. For the money seems sturdy enought.

There are 2 reasons I did not give the racks an overall 5 star rating. I had ordered three hanging storage racks.1 - 4'x6' and 2 - 3'x8'. All racks were ordered as Hammertone. I first received the 4'x6' and as you can see from the photo the components were a mix of Hammertone and white. The only Hammertone in the set were side beams and center support. This had no affect on the rack but it would have been nice if all three racks matched. The other problem was all three racks contained washers which were not the right size. A quick trip to the hardware store and a little extra out of pocket remedied this problem. Great racks just the 2 problems.
