RIDDICKS Saber Claws with Desk Display

When shopping for copies of Riddick's blades you're going to find your self with a decision. Do I want a replica of the correct color, or do I want a replica of adequate size? On screen Riddick uses uncoated silver blades as we have here. HOWEVER, if you choose these blades you should be well aware that they will look almost childish to any average sized male. As previously stated in another review, these are small. Let me clarify. The item description states they are 12 inches. I attempted to get a better understanding of this measurement via posted questions before purchase, unfortunately the only responders not only contradicted each other in their answers, but apparently neither understands big words like apex, or knows the basics of measuring things. THESE BLADES ARE 12 INCHES FROM THE FIRST HOLE TO THE TIP FOLLOWING THE OUTSIDE CURVE OF THE BLADE. This means that a straight line measurement from the apex to the tip comes in at aprox. 10 1/4 inch. While this does not seem like a large difference, once in your hand you will notice the lack of almost 2 inches, BEACAUSE...THE HANDLE ITSELF IS LESS THAN 3 1/2 INCHES! Go measure the width of your hand, if it is not LESS than 3 1/2 inches than these blades will not fit in your hand appropriately with any surety. If your hands fall under this measurement however, CONGRATULATIONS! You have baby hands! As I said this brings about a decision. Amazon does have several black pair of these blades posted, and having seen them compared side-by-side they are indeed of an appropriate size, but Riddick did not use black blades; neither did he use children's weapons, and therein lies the rub. Enjoy choosing the lesser of two evils for your costume.

I love the stand! It has magnets to hold the blades. Assembly is super straight forward. The blades feel heavy and have a nice sharp edge/point. The leather is of expected quality in this price range.I wish the handle was slightly bigger otherwise would give 5 stars.

Blades aren't sharp - not even the same length because they weren't cut properly. Looks great on the display, with the longer one in the back, but frustrating that the quality is so poor.

Read the reviews and took a gamble cause I couldn't pass up the price. Maybe I got lucky, but my blades came with a decent factory edge and the point is perfect. Wasn't squared off like in some of the pictures. Really cool just to hold and look at.

Workmanship is fair, but they are dull as butter knives.

I've seen complaints on size... idk official "Riddick" dimensions, but I'm happy with these. Granted, I'm only 5ft 9in.Stand pieces are cheap, but I'm satisfied with blades alone for the price. Stand was a free bonus as far as I'm concerned.

Look cool, but they don't stand real well and the sizes don't match up.
