The Travoy Rack Mount enables the Travoy Hitch to mount on a rear rack, rather than the seat post. Travoy and Travoy Hitch sold separately. Review: Works great! - Great option to use for the travoy Review: Must have the rack style shown in the picture. Open tube racks (no platform) don't work. - Burley makes great products. I have a Tavoy for shopping and errands and it's been great. Unfortunately, the rack on my bike is open frame and does not have a platform like shown in the picture. The platform is a requirement; the rack mount won't work on a tubular open rack. For the first time ever, Burley you have let me down.

Options are always good
I’ve left review on Travoy trailer and seat post mount that i attached to my All-City Mr. Pink for a light n quick ride. But I couldn’t stop there as I looked over at my all-around beast city/tour bike SURLY LHT! The curiosity with its use on my favorite bike (with a rear rack) was killling me. So i dove in the burley pockets (again) and ordered this rack set up. I’ll just keep this review simple. If you’re like me and you love bike options, (and who doesn’t have more than one bike?) then this is a no brainer. It swivels nicely above rack. Yes this eliminates any rack top loading. Maybe a seat bag will clear but (i suppose) the negative would be that -and also may effect rear panniers. I attempted a side folding banjo shopping pannier and it didn’t fly. Haven’t tried my carradice or ortlieb pannier yet. Attachment length adjustments would be necessary if it does work. My guess is the trailer with rack hitch needs to swivel through the steering range to be safe. And currently I’m not traveling anywhere I’ll need this entire set up of trailer plus panniers front and rear. Cross that bridge when needed or I’ll order a Bill Trailer by surly for the crazy bizarre hauls. I also have a BOB trailer so I’m pretty well rounded on the long and short con trailer rigs. My advice is set the bracket and hitch (sold separately) as closely beneath seat stay and rack as possible. This will allow you to use the most of your rack when trailer not in use. Personally they should’ve made this a detachable piece from rack (because) it will pain if i were to take this on and off just to use all my rear rack surface area. Next design upgrade that won’t be inexpensive I’m sure. But I’m forgiving if it improves my life! I’m happy about it and i hope my review and pics help someone else. I was a bit in the dark on it but I’m pretty handy with making things work. This took all of 3 minutes to atttach. And i get the impression it has a wide range of rack use.

Useful and easy to use - Updated
Wanted to use this on a Pedego Boomerang. Again, the Travoy's clamp did not work alone - not enough space unless I raised the seat way higher than I could use. So I laid a piece of silicon over my rear rack and zip tied it into place. So far, so good. I rarely pull more than 30 pounds, so I can't say it will be good for more than that. I found this very helpful when I changed the seat post on my bike to a slanted one. The clamp included with the Travoy did not work on the new post. Two things: 1. Lots of people say they can't use panniers with this mount. I have not found that to be the case (see pictures). For that matter, there are panniers that attach to the sides of the rack that could also work. I can use the spring-loaded clamp on the rack if I don't use the panniers. 2. As usual with Burley, this is well made. BUT it is supposed to work with the Travoy, specifically, and the Travoy does not come with the correct seat post clamp. At least, my Travoy did not. So I waited until I found a used seat post clamp before investing in this mount. So four out of five stars.

Excellent option for connecting to rear bike rack
This adapter works great on my rack. I love my Burley Travois!! The seatpost attachment would not work as the travois trailer was making contact with my rear wheel. Using this rack mount bracket allows the travois trailer to sit at the proper angle. My only complaint, is the rear rack is no longer flat, it has this big bracket sticking up off it. That said, my rack bag still fits in front. Overall, I love this thing.

This should just come with the latch welded to it.
It's two pieces of steel with some bolts and threaded holes. There's no rubber grip or spacers. And you have to buy the seatpost latch separately. The newer models of the travoy come with the quick release seatpost clamp. That's great, but not compatible with this. Once I bought the old style latch for this rack adapter, I had spent sixty bucks. It seems to work ok on the rack to which it is attached. I wrapped some old inner tube around the rack to provide extra grip.

The angle of my bike seat post made it tricky for me to attach and detach my burley travoy but this little mounting device solved the problem. Granted I probably could have had my husband rig something up for less than the cost of this device but I would have had to wait for him to get around to it. I mounted it to my rear bike rack as close to the bike seat post as possible which means that I can still easily mount my rear pack when not using the travoy.

Great addition to Travoy
Really needed if you have a large rear rack on your bike. Easy to install.

Fits well on practically any bicycle rack to accommodate the Burley Travoy hitch.

Ich habe den Adapter für meinen Fahrradanhänger gekauft. Die Montage am Sattel war leider nicht möglich. Mit Hilfe des Adapters passt jetzt alles. Ich kann ihn empfehlen.

I’m amazed by the price tag Burley inflicts on its products. Can’t see any justification for that overpriced situation. For what it is, the Travoy and it’s various appendix (bags, attaches, rain bags,…) are truly useful and well designed. But honestly, if I knew it would be so expensive to attain the full potential of this product, I wouldn’t have bought it.

Does what it says it will. Lets me attach my travoy without risk of it catching the back wheel.

L'oggetto rispecchia la qualità dei prodotti Burley: semplice da installare e comodo da usare. L'unico lato negativo è legato all'estetica: si poteva/doveva mettere un po più di impegno per realizzare un supporto esteticamente più accativante
