Perfect structure book for someone who wants to understand the sip signaling for voip. If you have advanced knowledge, forget this book.

Good beginner book
This book is not for the programmer who wants to know how to program and debug SIP.This book is for a manager or other interested party who needs to understand how SIP works at a theoretical works and fits with the other protocols.There is no programming information in the book. It is all just examples to give you context.If you are only interested in this, I think that it is a very good for that purpose. The writing is to the point and the examples are clear.

Hands down the best guide I've read on SIP
The book is organized in a fluid, logical manner, and is super for me, because I am one of many people coming from a heritage telecom career that's trying to learn about SIP.Highly recommended!

Buy, but double check first that this is what you are looking for
Good book on SIP. Bought it to expand our knowledge of SIP in an Asterisk enviroment.The initial introduction is a bit too-long. I think that when you buy a book on SIP, you already know IP telephony and alikes works.Before buying, keep in mind that the book is on SIP, generally speaking, and SIP is used on lots of places, not only on Internet/IP telephony.

Best guide to SIP
well written, for Those that need the read details and understanding of the protocol. I would say this will work to help you read captures and understand the issue! when trouble shooting.

Please note that, for this review, I did not read the entire book. I only read the chapters that got to the parts of SIP I needed to know for the task at hand. It was informative the few chapters I read.

Copy Right 2002
I did not realize this book was so old! Book is 11 years old. In the IT world this is pretty old. Haven't read it yet, but it's 11 year old info.

A very brief Summary
Well written, but as the book title says it just demystifies the SIP. I was expecting more detail of the protocol. I would recommend other book from the same author about IMS, it has both SIP and IMS covered.
