MB PLA 1.75mm great choice for consistent performance and for use on TAZ5
I haven't had good fortune with Makerbot machines but their filament is the best... consistent in diameter not noticeably sensitive to low humidity (other "top" brands of PLA 3mm become too brittle to use in my house in winter with 20% humidity and have to store in humid container between uses... with MB filament I can leave it on the machine), consistent color without bubbles (I find bubbles in most other "top" PLA 3mm choices). It has become the filament of choice on my TAZ5 (even though designed for 3mm, the only adjustment needed for 1.75mm is first layer. However, MB is one of the most expensive per pound/kilogram and so I wait for the price drops that randomly appear on certain colors at certain times and try to grab a couple rolls.

Outstanding!!
Printed 4 of the same game piece in different colors which happen to be different brands. The Maker Bot filament was far superior to the Hatchbox, and the other two. The details were incredible and there was no stringing. It even printed a C-shaped clip with no support!! It defied gravity and printed the top with little error. I forgot to take the bad gcode off my disc and could not believe it printed.

Good quality, a little brittle
Worked great for me, just wished the cost was lower for such a small amount of PLA filament.

Great product!
As this is Markerbot's actual filament, it runs smoothly in the machine which is extremely important. No filament jams. The overall color is a solid black, no hit of transparency. Overall a great deal on their standard filament. Will buy again when needed.

Good from the start.
No problems, worked easily with very little parameter adjustments.

this roll is way smaller than it seems. not worth it for the price i paid at the time. at all.
i paid $17 for 1/2 KG. WHAT? that's $34 per KG. that's absurd. otherwise it was a good product. i thought it was a lot more filament than it said because it listed it in pounds instead of kilograms.

Name brand makes a difference
Initially I tried it a third party filament that just did not work in the MakerBot. Switched to the name brand and everything worked great. Yes, it's more expensive, but at least you don't have to throw away the pieces you make.
