I buy loads of this as it’s great yarn Pricey but shop around it varies all the time

Such a lovely green teal
I bought this to finish off a project I had started, the colour is such a beautiful green teal and the cotton yarn is soft and a pleasure to work with.

Soft, crochets nicely, I needed two skeins to crochet a beret
I crocheted a beret from two skeins of this yarn, very nice to work with and exactly as described. Only issue with it would be that it took a very long time to come (around a month), but this is understandable given it is coming from the US and I live in the UK.

Too stiff, hard to crochet with
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong as there are so many 5 stars reviews but I couldn't get on with this yarn at all. I tried using it to crochet some granny squares for a blanket but the texture is too rough and stiff and the threads start to separate as you crochet. It reminds me of garden string! The only possitive is that the teal colour is nice, but unfortunately I can't work with it :(
