Good for CHE Fluids
Really good for Fluids class. Has a solid general background to it. Is pretty old, but fluids hasn't changed too much since then. I'd recommend BSL Transport Phenomena as an accompanying text.

Amazing introductory fluid mechanics book!
An excellent book for both introductory and certain advanced level fluid mechanics. Excellent coverage is given to fundamentals and the book is very easy to follow. The book gradually builds up the fundamentals to a point beyond which a student of flud mechanics can study advanced topics by himself. I would certainly recommend this book as reference for advance undergraduates and some graduate courses. Though this book may not suffice the needs of all advance topics, you may want to look at other fluid mechanics books for advance topics. Overall, an excellent introductory fluid mechanics book!

The kind of book we don't find anymore
These days, most of the book you find are not very interesting except to show you the basics but in real worldengineering, you need to know about turbulent flow and averaging method, at leat the basics on these topics. The book from whitaker is not easy but easy enough for undergraduate student and it cover topics very useful liketime averaged flow (with more details than other books), free surface flow. The book also give a lot of practival examples. Even if it is old, it's now my favorite book on fluid mechanics.
