The drums themselves are nice and sound good. The hardware is decent and the pedals on the snare stand and base pedal are stamped steel. Everything was very easy to assemble and was packed well for shipping. I have only two issues with the drum kit. The first being a small tear on the side of the seat portion of the throne. The second being the tom mounts. If you purchase this kit do not tighten the winged bolts on the tom mounts to anything other than snug. On the set I received it appears that the threads in the tom mount are not that great and are easily stripped. While the toms are holding on the mounts just fine now I can see this needing repair in the future (nothing a heli-coil cannot fix).

After reading reviews I bought this full size drum set for my 12 year old son for Christmas. I was overwhelmed and anxious about having to build them on Christmas eve, but the directions were great and it wasn't difficult at all. My husband and I built them in about an hour. My son has been playing them for 5 days and I think they sound great. The red sparkle color is gorgeous!

Ok for a kid that wants to see if they really want to play drums...better than risking $1000 and then finding the kid didn't like it!

The media could not be loaded.  Purchased this for my son. He absolutely loves it. The sound quality is not bad at all. I would give it 5 stars but deducted a star for 2 reasons: 1) it needs just a bit more packaging, this is pretty heavy to ship and one of the parts was slightly bent and 2) the instructions were not very clear so it just took us a bit longer to out together. Other than that it’s a great set!
