I purchased the Moshi adapter to use with my Essential phone. Since there is no headphone jack on the Essential phone, I needed a way to use my headphones and charge the phone while I was at work. I looked at several options. Based on reviews and comments, I couldn't find anything I liked or had confidence in. Until I came across this one. The price is on the steep side but it does what it's supposed to. Build quality seems to be top-notch and what you should expect at this price point. I only have one complaint. When using the Moshi adapter, the headphone volume isn't quite as loud as it is when I'm using the manufacturer's original headphone adapter that came with my phone. It's not a deal-breaker but there is a noticeable difference between the two. With the manufacturer provided adapter, I can set the volume at 1/4 volume. When I use the Moshi adapter, I may have to bump it up to 1/3 volume. Again, not much of a difference but a difference none the less. At this price, I would expect the volume levels to be the same.

This just plain works. You buy this because you need it, but you are afraid that you are going to get a cheap item that either won't work, will stop working, or break. I have to say, this just plain works as expected. It's well made, and very solid, but it is a bit bulky. They have copied the Apple style of the sharp edges, which I don't care for. The cable itself is hefty, and the connectors are good. This was way more that I had wanted to pay, but I'm happy with it's performance, and I'm glad that I got something that wasn't a waste of money.

I've bought a handful of these things from a variety brands of over the last few years. Each one I think, "maybe this one will work flawlessly!" but they never do. This particular brand was more expensive than it's competitors and I read a few reviews saying that it actually worked better for them, so I gave this one a shot. Nope. Sure it works... when it wants to. You have to massage it, flatter it, or abuse it every time you get into your car and eventually it will begrudgingly give you good quality sound after repeated unplug/replugs. But never will it work on the first time, and god help you if you go over a nasty speed bump or pothole. Either keep looking for that perfect - actually competent - solution to charging your phone while using the headphone port (I've given up, it seems to be beyond science), or just spend less money on another brand that will do essentially the same disappointing job.

Just used it for my trip from SF to LA and it worked great! I didn't notice any loss in sound quality especially since any difference(if any) was probably drowned out by my car. It didn't charge super fast but that was somewhat to be expected as I had maps and music going the whole time. I did find myself unplugging power at certain points because I had been at 100% for awhile so I can't say I'm disappointed.It sucks that it has to cost so much for a decent adapter but I'm happy it works so well.

*Updated after returning for a new product*This actually works with my Pixel 2 xl in my car over my radio through an aux cable. It ONLY works when it is ALSO plugged into my charger. There is random feedback noise that interferes with what I am listening to and it doesn't happen when I am not using this adapter.--- exchanged for a new one and tried a different auxiliary cord and it works really well! Just used it for my 12 hour trip home and didn't have an problems. Would recommend for the Google 2xl.

The Moshi adapter was purchased so that I could charge my phone and use it to provide music and/or GPS directions over my in-car stereo system via the aux cable. What really stands out in use is that the product seems well made, and the fact that the sound quality much better that that provided by other USB to analog converters. I have a Pixel 3XL phone, but I assume that the same would be true with most phones that don't have a headphone jack.

Totally worth the cost for a guy who prefers sounds quality (direct connect) vs versatility (Bluetooth). Charges my Pixel 2 while I listen to my favorite shows.The volume controls on my Bose headphones work perfect, but the talk button doesn't always respond. Still 5 stars in my book

It works... That's more than I can say for the other ones I've tried. It does charge and play audio at the same time as advertised. Unfortunately, there is a loud interference sound when charging. The first few days I used it, the volume of the interference was just annoying but I could still hear the music/podcast over it. Occasionally, the buzzing sound goes bananas and it's pointless to try to hear anything over it. I've tried multiple chargers/cables and it doesn't make a difference.

Unfortunately this device does not charge and allow me to listen to my phone a one plus 7 pro at the same time. The individual sound quality was good and the build quality excellent. Amazon were very quick to refund my return and were most helpful. I have however found a cheaper adapter that works with my phone.

Sound stops often, it is noisy (compared to the Google USB type C to 3.5mm adapter I have), and it only charges if I connect the power after connecting it to the phone. I'm not sure how it works with other phones, but DO NOT BUY IT if you have a Pixel 4.

Its not a cheap item by any stretch - but Iver bought more than a few of these types adapters which wont work on my apple devices. This one does the job - so to me it is money well spent.

Absolute necessity for my Google pixel phones. I can listen to music and charge at the same time.
