Perfect. The soles are a lot more grippier than ...
I did my research through reviews on these and looked at the company website for fit. I knew to order 1 whole size larger in these boots...and the reviews were spot on. I wear a 7.5D, I ordered an 8.5D, and poof! Perfect. The soles are a lot more grippier than some other tac boots I've worn. I already knew the insoles did not have a lot of arch, but I wear inserts (custom) and they fit perfectly into these boots. Yet another clue that you should order one whole size bigger. Some reviews on here state that "I'll just wear thicker socks". I have never understood that when you are training or ops, why not wear the socks you like instead of having to accommodate cause you ordered the wrong size. If you order through here the cool thing a lot of times with prime there is free returns. So you cannot go wrong. Another feature of these boots I like and commend Adidas on is that the leather they use on the boot is a better quality than the thin, cheaply finished leather I've received on other tac boots. LAW ENFORCEMENT REVIEW
Received my adidas tac boots and have been wearing them for a week. Very thin and super light weight boot, which I really like. Fits like a true running shoe. To elaborate it's not like a tennis shoe or cross trainer. Very snug and narrow fit, but comfortable. If you roll your ankle easily then these aren't the boots for you. That being said I'm a 10 1/2 in other boots and that's what I have in my adidas tac boots. The fit is perfect. If you are the type to wear thick socks I would go a half size larger. Aggressive tread which I really like as I work a predominantly rural area and spend a lot of time on natural surfaces (grass, gravel, dirt). Equally good on paved surfaces and indoors. Really like the traction/grip. They haven't been tested in a foot pursuit yet but I'm confident they will be perfect. Think these will be great as a summer boot in Canada. Wouldn't dream of wearing these in the winter. There is just no insulation. If you carry a boot knife you won't be able to do that with these. One thing I don't like about them is there are no eyelets, just holes for the laces. I find it very difficult to loosen my laces and therefore find it difficult to put them on and take them off. Would like to have seen a quick lace setup on the upper two positions. It looks like they are designed to be worn in the running shoe style with the top open which would defeat the purpose of a tac boot. I like that they can take polish as that's a stipulation with my department. I can't see them lasting more than a year or two but for the price I would say there is no question. Definitely worth it. Awesome Patrol boot
Well.... I was all ready to cry foul at the other reviewers for saying get the boots a half size larger. Boots came in and I was thinking of creative and eloquent ways to verbally beat them down as I opened the box. Tried on the first boot and damned if they weren't right. I wear a 9 and ordered a 9.5 . I could've taken a 9 but it would've placed my big toe right up against the front. So yeah...good call. Quality wise the boots have excellent fit and finish. I have Oakley and Under Armour boots but these are very light weight. Some mentioned ankle protection and yeah...just be more catlike or figure out what you're going to be doing on light duty. Someone also mentioned lacing. They can be secured up nice and snug but you're gonna need a minute. ( Maybe after break in this will change.) I wore these right after they arrived and they were an awesome duty boot that I would without a doubt at this point buy again. If you're on the fence....do it. If my ultra flat feet like these boots then people whose feet aren't mad at them will definitely be able to put in work and complain about other things like, why you can't wash a vest or who's idea was it to make uniforms out of polyester.Al. Good boot, quality issues
The last pair I had lasted a couple of years. As a USBP agent I am either hiking long distances or standing for long periods. The boots were comfortable and had good traction. But one of the eyelets ripped out after a couple weeks of use.....

Omg! These boots are amazing! I work in law enforcement so i have been searching for a boot that is comfy especially since I’m always working overtime and on my feet most of the time. Unfortunately Bates was not providing that comfort along with other numerous brands that i have tried and had to return (last brand was Nike and believe me it was not comfy as all). A fellow officer insisted that i order the Adidas GSG 9.7 boot because they are super comfortable, i was a little skeptical because i was tried almost every brand out there but he was absolutely right! They feel like I’m walking on fluffy pillows.

Too narrow
I own several pairs of Adidas running shoes. I would even say I am a loyal customer having bought them over the years. I have always worn a size 10. I read the reviews about ordering the gsg's a half size bigger so I did. Ordered a pair of 10.5. I got them they look like they are quality made. When I tried them on right away I knew they were too narrow. The leather on these boots are already soft so I know there wasn't going to be that " break in period". I was really dissapointed I know these are really comfortable and well constructed boots but were never going to fit me comfortably. My 3 stars is for Adidas not offering these in a wide.

W-O-R-T-H It.
I bought this to use at work. I work for WDOC, and this a great boot comfortable, durable, nice, and its a good ideas product its something I recommend for a booat that has a slight shoe feel to it, but you know will have a weight and durability of a boot, it grip is impressive, and they lace up and last a while! I have had it nearly 2 years now and it still holds up.

Well made but wrong size
These boots run somewhat small in the length. I had to order a half size larger, but then they were too wide for my foot. There's no place to grab in the rear of the boot, which makes them difficult to get on and off. Otherwise, seem really well made and supportive.

A year on... Still happy with this decent boot.
Good fit, quality decent and very decent grip sole. Will do well in the cold nights underfoot.Top toe is abit softer than expected, but this makes the boot lightweight I expect. Good looking boot.Update 1year later....They've worn really well under regular use in tough conditions. Not 100% water tight, but pretty good.Was expecting the sole to be grippier than it is, don't get me wrong it's worn well and still varies good tread, it has slipped on occasion in difficult icy conditions.Seals around rubber and leather holding up as good as any, with minor separation, keep on top of this by using a good polish to waterproof them.Worst part about the boots are that the lower sections need unlaced other wise you're going to really struggle getting them off, again not a big issue.I would buy again in a few years when needed, definely stands up against other similar styles I've had only these are lighter and very comfortable.

Great seller but not sure of this product.
Bought these because i like addidas and the look of them. However, these boots are a tight fit, this is not a fault but be warned because after 3 days of wear they didnt budge. Importantly I returned the first pair due to a split between the uppers and the soles, on inspection this turned out to be a manufacturing issue which was also evident on the second pair. I will say that on both occasions the seller handled my complaint very professionally and refunded my money on both occasions with no issues at all.Great seller but not sure of this product.

Great summer boot
I bought these boots for policing purposes and wanted a lighter pair of boots for the summer months. They are comfortable, light weight and breathable. The sole sounds a bit harder than a vibram sole, but I suppose this is to prolong the life of the boot.Negatives - getting the boot on and off. A side zip would make for a five star rating.

Buy one size bigger for best fit.
Was advised on websit to buy at least 1 size bigger so I did, fits as expected. Little bit of breathing space for toes. Only tightness is when trying to stick foot into shoe, however after using it gradually loosens. Overall good.

get at least half size over normal for gsg 9.7
i can wear some other brands size 11.5 but these in 11.5 are too small a 12 fitsok the boots are comfy from first try as i have the correct size seem well madenice and light time will tell how well made
