CRUX 5.3 Qt Digital Air Convection Fryer Black

This was a gift and I absolutely love it!! Easy to use east to clean nice large size. We use it weekly to roast veggies, fry chicken, French fried as well as roast potatoes...so many possibilities.

I bought this around Jan 15th, 2020 and before 6 months, this week it gave up. while using halfway, it just died.

I’ve made chicken wings, green beans, asparagus, sweet potato fries (fresh) and tater tots (frozen). Everything turned out great and I just followed the instructions in the booklet that is enclosed with the machine. These are nice additions to the things I regularly have on our weekly menu. I washed the basket and drawer components completely with hot soapy water before use and experienced none of the offensive odors or taste that others have mentioned in their reviews. This machine is super simple to use and has a lot of options and is touch-sensitive, so I highly recommend you read the entire owners manual before using it to ensure satisfaction with your results. It’s quiet while running and doesn’t heat up the kitchen. I use an olive oil spritzer, and high quality cooking oils (olive or grape seed). The spritzer has proven to be the ideal tool to apply oils to all the various foods I’ve cooked and minimizes the amount of fat used in the cooking process. Keep your expectations realistic as while an “air fryer” does a great job in quickly cooking and crisping foods, it doesn’t taste exactly like foods cooked in a deep fat fryer. However, the trade off for calories and fats is more than worthwhile in my opinion.

Fries come out crispy

Bought this through a department store at a fantastic price. If you want to avoid smells do the following: clean all parts of the unit. Then preheat and run for 10 minutes at 400. Shut off clean again. Repeat x3. No more smell. I made fries, baked potatoes and steaks. Love cooking in this thing and plan to try many more things!

Horribly designed. Had and used this for a couple years and the handle completely broke off on me to where it was unusable. Crux said they couldn’t do anything for me because I had it for 2 years and did not have a receipt. Was hoping they would help us out as we did use this a-lot but will not be buying another crux.

Got this as a gift and have used it a dozen times in the last two weeks. We have enjoyed trying so many great recipes made, not only a little healthier, but also faster.The controls are easy to understand and use and clean up is so easy. I plan to give a couple of these as gifts this year.As for other reviewers who claimed bad rubber smells, tastes, etc., we had none of that.We live that it holds a good amount of food to be cooked and have found this air fryer to be a great value for the price.
