Icon Rogue 2 Flashlight

Very solid construction. The light is somewhat heavy for a AA battery light. It fits the hand very well and has a heft to it that gives it a good feel. I was unsure about the triangular shape but I like it quite a bit. There are only two modes for the light (low, high) but they work well. The tail cap switch is solid and feels well made. The light has a slightly crenellated bezel. It isn't sharp and helps protect the lens. It is a little large to be an everyday carry light for me. Seems like it would work well for self defense. The light is well focused and comes on a high to start with. The triangle shape helps it fit in your hand well and the extra weight would be useful for striking. It does not have a strobe. Overall, this is an excellent flashlight.

I had one that I lost on the job doing a building inspection. The latest version of this light seems a bit wider in diameter, but felt better in my hands. Over the years I have had for my line of work as an inspector numerous flashlights from xenon bulbs to LED lights. This is by far the best flashlight that I have owned. Matter of fact when I had ordered this new replacement flashlight and went to a bridge inspection job for Amrtak the guys could not believe the light. I wanted a strong flashlight with fairly decent battery life that is not heavy or bulky. This flashlight does everything I want and would buy another one in a heart beat. Best thing is the flashlight uses AA batteries and not that costly lithium CR123 batteries.

It is a great simple LED flashlight. It is fairly bright with a wide beam that has a brighter focused center to it. It is has a sturdy construction and a nice lanyard that comes with the flashlight. It is a pretty bright beam with a good white color. Not too warm or cool. This model is a few years old and there are probably better LED flashlights out there, but I got tired of experimenting. I have used this and re-bought it for a few years, because I know it is a decent LED source. Not too dim or too cool/blu-ish of a beam.

I really like the solid feel of these flashlights and also the 2 levels of illumination. I would like to give a 5 star rating, as these are solid and have a great design, but I have quite a few of these flashlights, and sometimes they just stop working, meaning when I unscrew the flashlight to change the battery, and put it back together, I have has issues of it no longer working or working only if not tightened all the way back as it was. More than one has become touchy in having to align it or screw it back almost in place but not tighten it all the way for it to work. Also on one of the flashlights, the power switch which is at the back became disconnected, in other words it popped out of its housing, and I has to remove the rubber backing to fix it which meant putting a plastic piece back in the right spot, but as a result I then had to glue the rubber backing back in place.

Solid flashlight that produces a bright spot (on high) that is much brighter than any other flashlight I have owned. And although there are flashlights out there with more lumens, this one is adequate for my needs. This purchase is my second of these so that I can have one in several places in the house.
