HumanWare Victor Reader Stream (New Generation)

i use this 8 hours a day 7 days a week and like it alot i had the 1st gen stream as well the 2nd gen stream has a much better voice i find it easy to use i'n not sure why some find it hard to use i use it for nls rfbd bookshare and autoible as well as internet radio

I've had one of these for years and trained hundreds of others on the use of this product. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a dedicated text to speech/audio notes/Wi-Fi podcast/audio book player... etc. Low vision, blind, dyslexic or none of the above, it’s a great tool, far more dependable then a smart phone.

too difficult to set up by a blind person and the directions all had tobe found online with next to nothing arriving in the box.

I’ve had Victor reader stream’s over the years And I like them And what I don’t like about it is that there is currently no way to use it as a voice activated recorder The mic is either continuously recording or it’s not It’s not the best option for a students or for those in business Whenever their silence the recorder should automatically pause Which it does not Otherwise it’s a good device but it’s kind of expensive to be still so bare bones and there needs to be more frequent firmware updates for the product It needs more features

Excellent product, but don't expect plug n play. There is a significant learning curve. Quick start card has very small print.

My wife has very poor vision and requires a massive ctv system to read. This unit reads books to her in a portable unit she can carry with her anywhere. I pay 960 per year for cable tv and 350 for her reading pleasure for 10 years. A bargain and a blessing.
