Is there much difference between youth and adult size?

Thanks for checking out an item we offer within our Amazon store. Yes there is a significant difference between the youth size and the adult size. Shock Doctor actually makes a cup in a teen size which is a size between the youth and adult and is blue in color. Younger kids will have an issue with the adult cup, and a full grown adult will not be protected with a youth cup. Let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks again.

Would an xs work for an 8 year old ?

My sons have the blue cups, but their sliding shorts don't have a big enough cup pocket. What sliding shorts brands can fit the blue cup?
