Excellent for all.
I will be using this book for discipleship. It is excellent in explaining to both Christians and non what the Gospel is and why you can trust in the Gospel of Jesus Christ to get you to heaven.

A Book worth reading!
Saw this book on the shelf at a local bookstore after Dr. Rodgers had passed from this physical life to the next. Realized it was a book written after he retired shortly before he died of colon cancer and was curious what nuggets of wisdom he would share. Started reading it about 3 weeks ago on the outbound leg of a business trip, GOD had plans to put it in someone else's hand, so I have now purchased it twice, and worth every penny. This book, although not too deep theologically, touches on some very tough questions which young and mature Christians alike struggle with. Dr. Rogers explains them in ways that anyone can understand and backs them up with both experiential and biblical evidence. He starts by building an essential foundation for belief in the bible based on historical, biblical and scientific sources and then shares 11 other essentials that all Christians need to know to mature and grow.If you are exploring Christianity, this book is for you!If you are not sure of your salvation, this book is for you!If you are sure of your salvation and want to nurture and grow your faith, this book is for you!If you are a mature Christian looking for a solid book to pass on or recommend to those that you are mentoring, this book is for you!Dr. Rodgers Ministry was and is titled " A Love Worth Finding", well this book is a book worth reading. I will be purchasing many other copies.

What Every Christian Needs To Know
The late Adrian Rogers published this book in 2005. Until I read it after a friend mentioned it, I had never heard of him. Written in folksy everyday English, with 12 chapters exploring such topics as faith, and how to have it, what happens when a Christian sins, is the Bible true and how do we know, how to handle temptation, and how to be assured of salvation, I became so engrossed, so deeply interested in this man's spiritual insights, that I began to read more slowly and as I did this, it dawned on me - this is a book for everyone. I won't hesitate to share it.Who wouldn't relish a good discussion about these observations concerning how to discern the will of God, how to discover spiritual gifts, how to pray with power, and how to understand the Bible. All this and much more is addressed within 248 pages written by an exceptional preacher just prior to his death so all people of faith can grow stronger, climb higher, and face the future with confidence.I don't quite know the reason this particular book got my attention, as I have read similar ones over the years - maybe I sensed that the author was sincere and deeply concerned about modern Christianity. Read it and see what you think. It's worth the time, is affordable, and a great comfort.

An amazing book that can strengthen your faith
The author, in an easy read style, outlines various reasons, drawn on quotes from the Bible as well as famous people like Dr. Billy Graham, why we should be strong in our faith. It also mentions ways to answer the ever present skeptics who deny the Bible, who deny Jesus' deity, who scoff at our Christian faith. The book outlines the multitude of prophecies in the Bible, written hundreds of years before Jesus was born that accurately predicted the place of His birth, the fact that He would be born of a virgin, etc. Hundreds of years before Jesus was born, in a time when capital punishment was death by stoning, Biblical prophets predicted the Savior would be crucified on a cross, but that method was introduced by the Romans, who occupied Judea hundreds of years after the Biblical prophecy. There's so much more, this book is a 'must read' for new Christians as well as others.

A great book for all Christians!
I was given this book when I received Christ 10 years ago. It helped my walk with the Lord early on so much. It established me in a way that I needed, it was like having someone disciple me. I recently bought 2 copies myself for a friend who's been saved longer than I have as well as for a recent convert. It helped this older Christian to stop struggling with the assurance of salvation as it did for me back when I was just a babe in Christ. A must read for Christians of all ages (spiritually speaking).

Great Book. Not KJV like Pastor Rogers preached from.
The book is excellent. Pastor Rogers always used the King James Version when he preached, so I assumed this book would have used the King James for its Bible quotes. I was disappointed this was not the case. I would have been able to give a 5 star review if they had used what Pastor Rogers had used his entire ministry.

Simply compelling
I have always liked Dr. Rogers's teaching style because he makes difficult doctrinal lessons easy to grasp and hard to forget. When I read the book, it was as though I was sitting on the pew as he preached. The things I already knew from Sunday School, he helped me organize in my head. This is a great help as I teach and share with others what I have learned. Basic fundmental Biblical beliefs are made simple in this book.

A book that should be on every Christians shopping list.
I bought this book quite some time ago, but it has been in my bedside table drawer unopened. This week I found it in the drawer and started reading attentively. What a blessing to find a book so well written by a man who obviously knows his saviour, Christ and Him crucified. The cchaoters are well planned and explains the accuracy of the bible, the way that we are saved by God's grace through faith and that not of ourselves. He explains how we can know that we are saved and that once saved we cannot lose that salvation. (Once we are born of God we cannot be unborn - what a good way of putting it!).Adrian Rogers has written clearly and concisely what the bible teaches. I cannot fault him on his theology and doctrine. He explains what believers baptism is - and what it isn't. He explains in a no nonsense manner what the spiritual gifts are AND explains that these gifts are given at the time of our salvation. He is also clear on the fact that the sign gifts where given to the prophets and apostles - none of which are alive today - so do not be received by pastors that maintain they can heal your disease for you or foretell the future (other than which is foretold in the bible.A must read for every Christian, pastor and believer. Every new Christian should be given one as a gift from his/her church. It is money well spent.
