It is not loud!

It is quite loud, as advertised, and that is what I wanted since I sleep with earplugs. Would have rated it higher except for what I consider a design flaw. The set-alarm button can also be pushed when the alarm goes off to shut off the alarm and reset it for the same time in 24 hours. Unfortunately, it is in close enough proximity to the snooze bar so that on 2 occasions, I inadvertently turned off the alarm and over-slept for work.

The clock is fine. If you need something simple, no radio, it's a nice size/design. I wouldn't say the alarm is Extra Loud, it's loud but not piercing. Depends what volume the customer wants. It has been reliable and loud enough to do the trick.

I've had this alarm clock for about a year now and I love this alarm clock. I'm a heavy sleeper and I wake up to this alarm. I've had trouble finding an alarm clock that wakes me up and not sleep in and this alarm clock is worth the money. I especially love the backup battery ( which you have to buy) I live in Seattle and when it's stormy to the point that there's​ power outages it's nice to know that I can turn my phone off to save the battery and have this alarm clock still going.

Not near loud enough for me. It is not being used.

This unit is NOT extra loud. I have slept thru units that were louder than this one. It may depend on your sensitivity to certain frequencies that determines what sounds you are more likely to perceive as loud.

This clock is simply a great alarm clock. No bells and whistles. It doesn't run around the room asking you to fetch it. It just works.
