Extremely Happy with Detroit Axle
I have been extremely happy with Detroit Axle. I must be, these CV Axles finished the complete suspension on my Chevy Traverse. Everything in my suspension is Detroit Axle.

Avoid at ALL Costs! Do Not put yourself at Risk
At least for this order, Detroit Axle actually sent me NEW axles like I ordered, unlike the bait-and-switch they pulled with my most recent order. But even so, these axles are absolute GARBAGE. If you're thinking of ordering axles from Detroit Axle, you need to RUN the other direction. Your life could literally depend on it. The only positive I can say is that these were easy to install (as all CV axles are), and they were the correct fit. And sure, the price looks like a great value ... until you realize they are literally the worst quality axles you could possibly buy. I've used cheap Chinese knock-off axles that were better quality, and more durable than these Detroit Axle ones. To start, they worked fine. Then after about 5 weeks, the passenger side axle started shuddering and making a noise. I thought, surely this brand new axle is okay. I checked everything and all was stilled installed solid. But the axle now had significant axial and lateral play, and the boot was deformed. A few days later, and it starts violently shuddering on acceleration. Amazingly, I made it home. I went to check the axle and the inner joint was completely separated from the housing and just knocking around in there. It would not re-seat. It was gone. I just ordered a replacement because I couldn't wait on a months long argument with their customer service, but that was a disaster as well (I've reviewed it also, because it was a dangerous catastrophic failure). Well, I hoped that axle was a one-off, but then about 3 weeks later, that OTHER axle on the driver's side started doing the same thing. The inner CV joint had seized up and eventually crapped out as well. And let me tell you, when you read the horror stories about Detroit Axles customer service LISTEN TO THEM. It's the worst I've ever seen. I've dealt with customer service in China that took better care of me. Detroit Axle does not care once they get your money. Want a refund? $7. Want a replacement? Send back the garbage part first at your expense, then it has to pass their inspection (hint: It NEVER passes their inspection) before you get a partial refund. It's simply not worth ever buying anything from Detroit Axle, I don't care how many positive reviews they've paid for, because it is a gamble, and gambling on auto parts that could cause a fatal auto accident is not worth it. Save yourself the cost and the risk, and just get something like Autozone's Duralast Gold with a lifetime warranty, where if anything goes wrong with the part, you can literally take it into the store and walk-out with a new one, no questions asked. Whatever you do, AVOID Detroit Axle parts like the plague. Seriously, it's for your safety.

Very decent for not being OEM Toyota.
So far, so good. I'm not hearing too much shifting except from the suspension itself, but not the axles. I can't afford Toyota OEM axles, so these were going to have to do. I think these are actually a decent replacement so far. I've only put a few hundred miles on them, and only time will tell if it's going to be worth giving a real review or not, so please take my opinion with a grain of salt. I gave them 4 out of 5 stars simply because, honestly, I didn't feel too much of a difference. They seem beefier than OEM, and they seem okay so far. That's as far as I can tell you.
