It’s all in the prep work to get the results
After re doing the bathroom the shower tray was looking tired and dirty. After reading up and finding this product the reviews were very good, I brought 2 tins based on the reviews (2 paint 2 hardener). I was very pleased with the result. The work is in the prep, spend time with 600 grit sand paper taking the top layer of any grime and enamel top coat off, clean it down and give it a rub with 1200 grit. I cleaned with mould and Mildew spray once I had sanded down to remove all the dust and left over dirt. The paint is very runny and easy to apply, and I would suggest not to rush as the paint lasts a good 1.5 hours, just take your time and cover your tracks to catch any runs, but don’t go over your old work after 5 mins otherwise it sticks to your brush. After my first coat I found some runs and drips which I sanded down and gave it another, much thinner coat. And I learnt how the paint worked and set hence buying 2 tins. Would recommend this product to anyone looking to renew the look of their bath/shower tray without the hassle and expense of replacing. I applied with a 4” gloss roller and a 1.5” paint brush for the edges.

Disappointing
I don't really know how good this product is, but the absence of any instructions made my experience highly unsatisfactory. It was easy enough to work out how much to mix (all of it) but no clue as to how long to leave between coats, nor how to clean the brush. I now need to buy more product to finish the job, and it won't be this brand

Genuine solution
Over the past few years I've used various products to restore our beloved steel bath; all purpose paint and spray cans 'designed' for white goods. They did a decent job of producing an even whiteness, but the effect soon faded. This product is the first to look and feel like a genuine re-enamelling of the bath, being thicker and considerably glossier than any previous paint I've used.Yes. The house smelt for a few hours and I would recommend a mask ( but there's plenty of those about at the moment).I can't speak to longevity, but if I see problems I'll update the review.Be aware it did take looonger to arrive than I'd like, but Christmas and Covid might have contributed to that.

Great cover and hardening.
Thus far I'm pleased with the product, this being my second purchase after previously mixing mine in two portion for two thin coats, which worked well, but I noticed a mottled finish(foam roller). ..that was absent where I allowed It to flood/pool, so got to thinking maybe one heavy coat would achieve better results. Which I will attempt in the week.I'm curious though, if the manufacturer reads this, that if the mottled finish persists, if it can be sanded with a fine gritt and buffed back to a shine t-cut style ?

Bath / Shower tray paint
Very easy to use. Good coverage. Colour has stayed pure white with no discolouration or chipping. Very good quality.

It does what it says
Our Victorian cast iron bath looked dingy on the inside , my Husband sprayed this product and although it had a strong smell for a time with the Bathroom window open it passed after a few hours ., it now is smooth and fresh ., I only have to paint the outside Gold and it will look fabulous , I highly recommend it ,very good value but time will tell if it is durable but I can't see why it wouldn't be .

Advice to users before starting.
If you’re going to attempt to paint the surface with a brush/roller, then I suggest a suitable disposable paint kettle paint tray or tupaware dish before starting, then mix only half the paint and half hardener for the first coat on to your surface(bath etc). Keep the other half for the second coat, leave for least 24 hrs before applying the next coat. This paint will go hard after a few hours. After first has dried, rub the surface lightly with wet/dry2400 grit paper, this will smooth over bumps left over from rolling. I found rolling gave a better finish then a brush, but not as smooth as spraying. After 4 days of curing I sprayed the whole bath with 2 cans heat resistant gloss lacquer paint. Make sure you cover all areas before spraying and there’s plenty ventilation before undertaking this task.
