Rockport Women's Marta Walking Shoe

It's difficult for me to answer some of the above questions. I bought these shoes for my 89 year old Mom. She resides in Senior living facility.....and is in many way's quiet cognitive. She knows what she likes. For years we bought her the Rockport "Pro Walker" she thought there was no other shoe that gave her this type of support. The Pro Walker for women is not available any longer, so I decided to go with the Marta. My Mom's eyes lit up, she was quiet happy with the look, as well as the fit, and feel. Also, I had bought shoes attempting to find something new and different that she would like. She would always say "I will keep what I have......I don't like these. But, she likes the new Rockport Marta. Thanks!!!

This shoe is stylish casual wear. I wear a 9N size. The toe area could have been a fraction wider, and the shoe length could have been a fraction lesser. Without hosiery, the shoe fits in the front, but is loose in the heel.The shoe arch is flat, and I have flat arches. For the premise of a walking shoe, the manufacturer should use insoles with arch support. I discarded the insoles, and added memory foam insoles.

Love these shoes, Good support for people who need heel and ball of foot support. They are light and airy and you never have to worry about sweaty feet. They are the only walking shoes I wear. They don't seem to be quite as soft as they used to be back in the day but still good.They are a little pricey and one time I found them on sale for 1/2 the price at other online shoe stores. Amazon is just as expensive as the regular Rockport site.

I'm a walker and I've worn Rockport for probably 40 years. It's a plain shoe without all the unnecessary beeps and whistles. However, Amazon is the only place where I can now buy them! Please keep offering them. I never dreamed that Amazon carried shoes until someone mentioned getting their shoes from Amazon. Decided to try and you had these! Ordered Sz. 7 first, but they were a bit large. Kept them anyway in case you no longer offer them. Ordered 6.5 and they fit well. Wearing them now for walking. Penny's, QVC and Rogan's used to have them, but since Nike or someone bought Rockport, I guess they want us to buy their brand. I don't want their brand, I want Rockport! Thanks a million for carrying them!

I have worn nothing but Rockport Walking Shoes and Rockport Sandals for years. My last pair of walking shoes were Marta's and I LOVED them. As a matter of fact I have worn them for casual wear for more years than I probably should admit. However, they finally reached the point where I knew I needed to replace them. I first ordered a new pair from another source and they fit so badly I returned them. I found a pair here on Amazon.com and tried ordering a smaller size. The size is still not correct and they hurt my feet. I would have returned them but my neighbor had an emergency and I ran to help her, forgetting I was trying new shoes. So I will have to keep them but they will sit in my closet unworn. I notice that these shoes are made in a different country from my previous ones. Whether that makes the difference or not I don't know but I can say these are terrible compared to my previous pair of walking shoes. So Sad!

I made the mistake of buying the shoe too big..............from their the shoe started stretching.....then found it wasn't anAmerican shoe but made outside the U.S.I bought years ago at a Rockport shoe store back in 90' made in American, got the right size and wore those shoes for 5 yrs....before I was given another pair by my daughter and used this with the others about 6 yrs.These shoes looked good, but make sure you get the right size as the stretch across the shoe.

I have been wearing these for 9-10 hours a day, 5 days/week for greater than one year now. I work in a hospital, & likely walk a least a couple miles a day (if not several), & these shoes are holding up beautifully! I am heavy set, & the wear has been less than expected . . . I'll likely get at least another 6 months if not longer usage from them. With that level of usage, I am impressed! I hope to be able to buy these again, & that their quality & fit is the same.

I have been buying the Marta women's walking shoe made by Rockport for several years, in all three colors, black, white and off white. I wear orthotics and the insert that comes with the shoe lifts right out and makes room for the orthotic. The shoes last well and are comfortable from the first moment you have them on your feet. I have chronic plantar fasciitis and these shoes plus the orthotics help me to keep the pain away. I am on my feet a lot and recommend these shoes to anyone looking for a comfortable shoe for walking or working.
