This rice cooks up beautifully for many dishes . Nice texture, does not get gummy, rice kernels stay uniform and separate. Delicious taste.

I love Jasmine rice. It is a new find for me. It is my alternative to buying fried rice because you can add flavoring and seasonings to it. I do not care for it plain unless sauced with something else. It's a change from always using white long grain.In the stores is only small bag of Mahatma rice in Jasmine. So tried online. It is great since the bag is bigger. Not sure if price is better online or in the store. The zip pouch is good for storing or use your canister that will hold rice. The thing is that for a family you will go through this rice rather quickly.Try adding with the different recipes like fruit and various flavorings. It is a great tasting rice.

Being Thai, I eat Jasmine rice almost everyday and my rice cooker is on 24/7. I usually buy my Jasmine rice from China town; Three Ladies is my favorite brand. I ran out of Jasmine rice and saw this at Walmart for $5 so why not give it a try. The rice came out alright in my rice cooker but this is NOT Jasmine rice. It is missing the nutty aroma that Jasmine rice has and the texture is a bit different. This rice is edible but I will only use it in stuffed peppers or casserole type dish.Lundberg Organic California white Jasmine rice is another good one. You can pick it up at Wholefood or via save & subscribed on Amazon!

I purchased the 20 lb bags, this jasmine rice does smell great and the cooked rice came out delicious, supple and separate. However I recommend one cup of rice + one cup of water. Once I cooked as the instruction 1 rice + 1 1/2 water but the cooked rice was too gummy ( my last picture )
