PanasonicAuthentic LUMIX S Series Camera Extended Comfort Eye Cup (DMW-EC6)

This and the original are well made. The original wasn't able to keep as much sun out as this one. I really like using this in place of the original. This fit the S1R well. So far I don't have any complaints about the eye cup and would recommend it to anyone.

Works well. The original eye pad was not helpful though it was low profile. This works, was easy to attach, and I'm glad to have an upgrade

I seriously struggled (and failed) to see the S1H EVF in bright sunlight, as I couldn't block the sun when it was at my side. When I saw this oversized eyecup I ordered it immediately. Honestly, I don't understand why Panasonic doesn't include this with their cameras. I would give it more stars for it's effectiveness, but I'm a bit annoyed we have to buy this in the first place. Whatever, if you shoot outside, just buy it.

The EV is already good on the S1, but this eye cup makes even better. Gives me confidence filming outside on a bright day knowing I can check focus without worrying about bringing a sunshade with me or using an external monitor. A must for run n gun setups!

Very good product feels good and love the fact that you can reverse it for both right or left eye dominance.

So worth it, for shooting both photos and videos. Helps a ton with judging exposure and focus, especially since the EVF on the S1 is so nice. Seals around my eye nicely, very comfortable. It's a nice material, not so hard that it digs in, but not so soft to be floppy and useless. Folds over nicely for storage as shown in my pics. Well-built and mounts solidly, uses a bayonet-style connection that's easy to remove if needed. A must-have IMO.
