Fiddlerman Artist Violin 1/4 Outfit with Case, Bow, Rosin, Shoulder Rest

When you buy from the Fiddlerman page, you are really buying from an actual shop with luthiers and musicians. The bow is new and will need to be rosined, but this will pretty much show up ready to be taken out and played. No nonsense. It is invaluable for someone without the time or means to get a professional to set up your violin. All of the listed features are solid for anybody serious about learning to play the violin. They set everything up so perfectly that when I opened the box, it was like they were presenting a gift. :) Everything was placed where it was meant to be, and sealed. I was worried about it moving from FL all the way to PA in the 5° January weather, but it was only about a half step out of tune! I cannot say that my guitar of comparable price would stay in tune if exposed to that. I bought this for my girlfriend who always wanted to play the fiddle. The violin itself blew me away. It's quality exceeded what I thought I could get for this price. It is so pretty, everybody smiles when they see it. It has a very nice voice, like somebody is singing in the house. ^-^ The wood has a very nice feel and smell. The tuners were smooth and the strings sound and feel good. The carbon fiber bow is really cool, it even had an inlay! The chin rest is a nice dark color. The shoulder rest looks good and is adjustable. There is also good rosin and a cleaning cloth that are neatly packed in the storage compartment. Seriously, this had everything I could ask for. They responded to my emails quickly and answered all questions. The entire packaging was very secure, and they go the extra mile with service and presentation. For this price you can get all of the attention to detail of a professional luthier without even leaving your home! When looking for a violin for my lady, I was intimidated when I learned about the setup process that goes into buying a new violin and getting it ready to go. They completely eliminated all of my anxieties and made setting up the violin effortless. They are respectful and informative like you are standing in the shop.

My daughter, loves playing music and will be preforming on the violin in the school orchestra 2017-2018. I did quite a bit of research online trying to find a better than average violin, I wanted a violin that would grow with her as she got better. If you want a violin that can grow with your child (one that you will not have to replace because your child’s abilities have outgrown it) and more importantly will make your child WANT to practice. I am glad I pulled the trigger on this purchase. I bought a bow from fiddler man last year and I had questions and they were answered immediately so when I decided that I wanted an upgrade from my Mendini, Fiddllerman seemed like who I could trust. I have watched their videos onYouTube, reviewing stuff I was familiar with so I knew we were on the same page. I sent an emailfirst with questions and then we connected by phone. I knew I was in good hands. Now! about the violin: It is very light, the action is high and the sound is deep. I prefer a deeper, darker violin to a bright one which is why I chose this model. It came with great strings (Amo) and required only that I tune it. That’s the joy of buying from actual luthiers. Everything was in place. I have a weird ring on my G string but I have only had it in my hot little hands for about ten days so the strings need time to stretch and settle. The finish is hand rubbed and while I thought it had a two piece back, mine appears to be a one piece back with nice flame details and an overall nice look. The look is less important to me than the sound and I think this violin is one that will mature as the wood continues to mature (assuming my playing ever matures). The bow is fantastic and all of the accessories are first rate. The case is also really good. I accidentally whacked the case against a counter on my way into my lesson and the violin didn’t even fall out of tune! The action takes some getting used to but I love it!
