I use this as a gate to keep my dog in a room when guests come over because he tends to be a little too excited to see people. I love the fact that it retracts so that it doesn't get in the way when I am done using it.

Love the idea of this baby gate! Materials used are good quality, yet installation can be difficult. Seller advertises it's a gate for any doorway or stairway, but that is exaggerated. Seller fails to mention it is unidirectional and thus limiting. Most importantly, it really only installs to "corners" (see photo) and does not install into a flat wall. If we want to use this gate we will have to build a wood mount on the wall to mount the gate to. Or get creative with zip ties on the banister. Right now it's sitting on the floor until I can decide if it's worth the hassle or if I should return it.

We use this on our stairwell. There are a lot of installation problems.1. The directions are very confusing. I’ve been putting together furniture, Legos, etc my entire life and these are some very bad directions.2. There is absolutely no way you can use this gate with dry walk anchors. You have to pull VERY hard to pull the gate from the base unit to the hooks. I’m hoping the spring tension loosens over time.. but if we had used dry walk anchors.. I am sure it would have ripped out my dry wall. Which brings us to...3. The screw plates for the base unit are made so that the screws cannot both go into a stud!!! Unless you have double stud you’re using.. it’s almost impossible to angle the screws in so they both get into studs!! I used longer screws into studs for durability.4. The sucker is HARD to close single handed. Again, I’m hoping the spring tension loosens over tome.All in all.. I’m glad I bought it because when open, I get access to the full width of the staircase for carrying large items and laundry (unlike a standard baby gate.). We use it to defer the dog from going upstairs and it does its jobI recommend you check your stud placement before purchasing and do not use drywall anchors.

My dog is my best friend and I rarely ever want to be without him. Unfortunately, he is not very friendly and when I have company over I like to keep him confined to my living room. This gate is perfect and coco actually enjoys being behind it. He has attempted many times to get through it because he cannot stand to be without his dad but he has yet to be able to move or penetrate it. No one likes isolating there dogs but I can assure you, if you need to, this is the product for you.

My husband and I have two of these throughout our house, one separating our kitchen and living room and one dividing our basement. They fit wonderfully in hallways and are strong enough to keep large dogs separated from areas you don't want them to get to. The buckle on one of ours fell off, presumably because of our german shepard trying to get through it. We have since found a way to jimmy rig the broken gate so it is still functionable.

I have had this gate up for two weeks now as I was frustrated how my dogs have been getting through our traditional plastic one with ease and have been messing up my bedroom. This has strong quality and is high enough that they cannot jump over it. I enjoy how the gate has clips easy to be used with one hand. The price is set below competitive prices which is a solid additional bonus.

Bought this baby gate back when I had twins and it kept them out of our gym area where they can get hurt. It is easy to move, easy to use, and best of all is completely child proof so you have no need to worry about your little explorer getting past it. 5 star product.

Pretty pissed. We’ve had this up for about 2 weeks now and it’s already fraying. Not happy about this specially because it wasn’t that cheap!I did a good amount of research before purchasing and and disappointed in it!
