Xbox in a cabinet cooler!
I keep my Xbox series x in an entertainment cabinet beside the TV. Never really had any heat issues until I started playing Crimson Desert (amazing addictive). I noticed the heat was building in the cabinet because of the longer play sessions so I order this product. Simple install instructions and a wonderful product. It is very quiet and it only runs when the threshold I set for the temp registers. I can set an alarm if it gets too high which could save me money. I had an issue with a cracked screen and the customer service from AC Infinity handled it perfectly and it was very easy to make a warranty claim. Great product, great support, easy connectivity, the fan speed and sound level are excellent and I now have better air flow. What more could I ask for especially at this price point?

Comes with plastic mounting templates
Easy to install and the reversible airflow is perfect. I bought this kit to cool me home network closet and it's working great. I mounted the thermostat in the door where the air intake grille is, and it's just what I wanted. I reversed the fans to make the fans exhaust and mounted it inside the closet and the internal temp went from >90° to just under 80°. In addition, with my installation of the fans being internal, I cannot hear them at all, so I'm very satisfied.

Works Great! Just what I needed!
This thing rocks! I needed something to cool my new home theater rack with a glass door. It is now much warmer inside the unit than the previous "monster" rack I had with open shelves. I looked quite a bit but kept finding all kinds of fans for computers. I needed one like this that didn't need me to wire anything and I could plug into the wall. An added bonus to me is the thermostat controller. I didn't do anything fancy. I just drove a couple of finishing nails into the back of the shelf above my receiver and hung the fan assembly on the nails. The package does come with nice plastic templates to cut precise holes for the fan assembly and the thermostat if you want to mount them in a totally enclosed cabinet. Mine has open shelves in the back, I just wanted to move some air. The USB cord between the fans and the thermostat is long enough that I could place the thermostat controller on the top shelf next to my Monster Power supply with some leftover. The power cord from the thermostat with the little brick or wall mushroom is long enough to make it to the wall outlet with no problem. I set the thermostat controller on the shelf and it looks fine. There is a temperature probe wire attached to it that I hung down the front of the shelves to measure the temperature inside the cabinet. The first time I used it while watching a movie, I was not satisfied with the amount of cooling. Reason, I had the fans blowing into the cabinet over the receiver. This was maybe cooling the receiver like I wanted but it was just blowing a lot of hot air up over the rest of the electronics stack. I pulled the fan housing off the nails, turned it around and hung it back on the nails in the opposite direction to exhaust the hot air off the receiver out the back of the cabinet. That did the trick. I was able to set the temperature down to 76 degrees (my choice for now) and it easily holds that temperature. The temperature probe by the way is hanging just above the receiver. I am confident that it is being cooled like I want now. I've watched 4 or 5 movies since installing this unit and it does not make any perceptible noise when my home theater is blasting away. It maintains the set temperature steady as a rock! I keep it running after I finish watching the movie to allow the unit to cool down after I shut everything down and the fans are very quiet. Then I just have to unplug it from the wall. I am very satisfied. This thing was easy to set up, cools adequately and is quiet. The thermostat controller does have 2 USB ports so that you can add up to two more fans if you need more cooling power. I have had no problems with this quality product. If I do decide I need another fan, I would not hesitate to order another one.

Works excellent! Professional and quiet.
Airplate T3 with Adjustable Thermostat. Looks and works great! Adjustable thermostat on single fan works the same as larger T8 and T10 units. Great cooling and fans are quiet. Comes with stencil which is excellent for marking cut out holes. Small screws or long bolts with nuts included for either mounting option. A/C Infinity fans are a little more expensive but I have to say they don't disappoint. I have never been disappointed after I recieve and use their products. Great quality and professional looking. I also have two T8 units, one on Denon reciver and one on Emotiva XPA-5 amp. They have worked flawlessly for sometime now. I just installed two T3 Airplates with thermostats on custom Amp enclosures for Fosi ZA3 amps. I watched all of them closely at first to see what they were doing in smart and auto settings. They work so good sometimes I dont even know thier running. I confidently stop looking after a couple of days of watching them in action. Set it and forget it. Piece of mind with the thermostats and longevity of your expensive equipment is worth the price in the end. Add three inches to mounting depth for the three cables that plug into the back of thermostat. Fan, power, and sensor. Spend a little more you'll be happy you did!

Well worth the money
Out of all the AV cooling systems, this was one of the more expensive on offer, but I feel is well worth the price. I bought the Airplate T8 in white with dual 6" fans. The reason for buying was the smart fan function and the option of having it in white. I have a crown amplifier, Pioneer AV receiver and Niles 6 zone system all installed in one small kitchen cabinet, and when all three are powered, the heat is quite considerable, threatening to overheat or shorten the components' lives. The twin fans, one to draw in cold air, and the other as an exhaust fan, considerably reduce the temperature inside the cabinet. The alarm fuction is a really nice idea to warn me if there's a risk of overheating, and you can set your own temperature that triggers a noticeable electronic alarm when tripped. I set mine at 95f to make sure that it alerts me to higher temperatures way before they reach a dangerous level. A nice touch. There are several modes to choose from, auto, smart, on. Smart is the best for me, which will gradually speed up the fans as temperatures rise. Usefully, you can set the increments for the fans to increase, by either 2 or 4 degrees, and in short, this means that if set a temperature limit of 95f, which means the fans either kick in at 75f (when using 4 degree increments) or 85f (when using 2 degree increments). You decide to have 6 fan speeds which go up with every increment. As a result, the system is cooled at an early stage before it really heats up, and gives the fans a chance at keeping everything at a safe level. I found that temperatures never went above 92f, and never needed to put the fans on full. I've not had the alarm trigger yet, except for testing. So this system is enough for my needs, and I can just set and forget it, safe in the knowledge that my equipment won't overheat. The read out is nice and clear and easy to read, and though the instructions are a little tricky to initially understand in regards to the smart mode, it's relatively easy to set up. Once you calibrate the temperatures after using it for a day or two, you won't need to change the settings again. Installation: You do need a drill and preferably a jigsaw cutter, but cutting the holes to install is a relatively easy affair, helped largely by the cutting templates that come with it. I'm not the best handyman, but I was able to use the templates to cut accurate holes that kept the fans and panel tightly fitted. I've read comments that the fans can be noisy. While you can hear them on speeds 4-6, I've found them relatively quiet except for the top speed, but really, I'd prefer to have the slight noise if it means I don't burn out my system, and mine rarely needs the fans on full. It is worth getting some kind of rubber sealant behind the fan mounting, which considerably reduces any sounds from vibrations. Worth considering. We chose white to match our cabinets, and I was doubtful they'd match, but I'm glad I chose that color as it really reduces their visibility. And I particularly like the fact that you can install a further 4 fans if you feel the two that come with the system are not enough for your needs. Overall, a great choice for AV system cooling, and the smart mode and Oled display give you a lot of reassurance that you aren't overheating and damaging your components. Highly recommended.

My receiver is trying to keep its cool.
So I have a receiver from Pioneer, model sc-1222. Currently it is not pushing big speakers. Rather it is pushing two Klipsch R-51. Most of the output of the whole system is TV audio. It is on at least 8 hours a day as everyone takes turns watching tv. I have another receiver that is newer and sits in a shelf in an entertainment center right below the TV. The shelf is rather large for the receiver. From the top of the there is about 5 inches of clearance, the sides about 3 inches or so. I had bought a different thermostat that was very simple, but versatile. In my testing I did find that my receiver can get pretty hot. Especially on hot California days. The temperature reached up to 93 degrees! That is not using the internal amplifier. Mind you this receiver comes with a small fan. The only controls it is using are the HDMI ports, fiber optic, and RCA for the pre amp. I also read an article that talks about how any heat that goes over 85 degrees reduces the life of the receiver. I am happy with my equipment and I want to enjoy it a bit longer. I bought this Controller and fan for a couple of reasons. It was about 5 dollars less than the competition. For the price you also get a fan and the ac adapter. This pack is made to move air through out a cabinet. The next reason I bought this one is the display is a digital white. So it matches the screen on my Sc-1222. I will say that one fan is not enough. I dont believe that one fan is enough for any receiver or cabinet. Consider this to be a starter kit. Let me explain this controller: The controller is well made. It is aesthetically pleasing. The front face place is made of aluminum. The buttons are flush with the plate and are made of rubber. The rubber button are also marked. The left top button has 3 lines on it. This button is the mode button, it switches you though the modes so you can choose what best suits your needs. The bottom left button has a leaf. The leaf is for the screen. It will dim the display or turn it off. That is just for the screen when it is not in use. The leaf function does not turn off the whole cooling system. The other side of the screen has two rubber buttons also. The top button has an arrow pointing up and the other is pointing down. These buttons are to control a variety of things. Depending on the mode you choose with the top button on the left. They set the temperature of when the fans turn on. It also sets the temp for an alarm to go off. Yes this thing has an alarm. The arrows also set the speed of the fans. In the back you have two USB connections for the fans. It also has connection for the thermo sensor. Last but not least the ac adapter connection. All the connections are different so there is no way to mix the cables. Lets just say if in your toddler years you used play with a toy called a shape sorter, this is where it comes full circle. The LCD screen gives you so much information. It needs to be studied to be understood. Nothing that requires PHD's on rocket science. Just some good understanding. Top left will show you set temp you want to trigger the fans. Right below is the temp setting to trigger the alarm. Right top side is the actual temperature of the equipment. Right below is fans speed shown in 6 bars the more bars the higher the speed. The alarm feature is a nice add-on. This feature is audible letting you know if you need to ease of on the throttle or troubleshoot. Once the alarm is triggered the fans will be at full throttle. This overrides any of the modes until the temperature is brought down. The mode button cycles you through on, off, smart, and auto. the first two are obvious, the other two are kinda cool. yes pun intended. Smart mode keeps the fan on, but lowers the speed of the fans. This depends on what temp you set. When it is below the temp set, the fans are blowing in very low speed. This is also depending on actual temp compared to what it is set to trigger full blast. As it gets close to the set mark the fan increases. This is also visually explained on LCD screen. Auto mode is based also on the temp set. This just turns on the fans when the temp reaches the degree you set. Turns off the fans when temp is below the degree you set. The fan is 120mm fan. It is also variable speed, it also comes with an aluminum face plate. You can unscrew the fan from the faceplate to switch the direction of the fan's airlfow. I am not using it as intended. For me there are no other components above or below the receiver. I am using rear exhaust fans with USB connection. A total of three fans are cooling this receiver. This cooling system is going on a different receiver, but testing on the one pictured. This system keeps it under 85 degrees. In a stress test temperatures reached 88 degrees at 3 hours of playback. I would recommend this product, but knowing you would have to buy additional fans depending on application of course. The user manual also suggest how many fans can be used on a single controller.

Excellent cooling for cabinets — smart control could be improved
I’m using two AC Infinity AIRPLATE T7 units — one for a NAS in a cabinet and another for a PS5 in a TV unit — both due to heat build-up in enclosed spaces. They work extremely well and have made a noticeable difference to temperatures. Setup is simple and build quality is excellent. The fans are quiet, effective, and ideal for cabinet or entertainment unit cooling. I also reversed the fan direction on both units, which was fairly simple to do and makes them very flexible depending on whether you want to exhaust hot air or pull cooler air in. I run them using the temperature probe in SMART mode, which works well overall. The only minor limitation, similar to the AIRCOM T9, is that you can’t set independent upper and lower temperature limits, so the fans can occasionally cut in and out as temperatures hover around the trigger point. Proper temperature band control would make these perfect. That said, they’re an excellent solution for heat from consoles, NAS units, or AV equipment in cabinets. Highly recommended.

Well-build, exactly what I needed!
Upgraded my under-desk computer system, and it was getting warm under there. This had always been a minor problem in the past, but upgraded CPU and a massive GPU required a way to get the heat the computer was successfully exhausting under the desk, to somewhere else as fast as possible. Just remember that you will absolutely need to cut a hole in the installation surface, at least for the fan. I'm actually 3D designing and printing a simple enclosure for the controller, so it can sit on my desk. It's perfect! I'm very good at tech, but I am not exceptionally handy. Cutting the hole in the back of my desk was a pain. But it was so worth it! With the computer up and idling, I'm seeing a 3-5°C difference with the system in smart mode. Anything below...75°F?...and the fans are off. Automatically! Out of the box, it's set to be at max fans when you reach 85°F, which is perfect for my application. By the time the computer is running hot, the AC Infinity fan system is already in full gear at 100% fans. When the fans are at 100%, because I reversed them (exhaust versus intake), they are a little louder than when they're in the factory stock position (intake). But it's on-par with the 10 fans inside of my PC, so we're good. If they ever release an upgrade to this system, which has more powerful and quieter fans, I'll probably do that. But for now? Perfect! Once I got the fans installed in the desk, and the cables routed where I needed them to be, the system simply "just works." You can set it to Alarm, which is probably fine, but I prefer Smart mode. I do wonder if Alarm is basically Smart but with the Alarm enabled. Might be nice to have a "top end" temperature I can set, where it beeps or something. But I don't want to give up the Smart mode where they turn off. The packaging was awesome, with serial numbers on the outside of the box, so I don't have to remove the installed fan to get the serial number if I ever need it. Everything arrived in perfect condition, with a plastic cover for the controller screen, a fantastic manual, and AWESOME plastic templates for both the controller and the fan unit itself. Made drawing the hole on the desk as easy as tape and a magic marker. I'm VERY picky about the things that I buy, and I have to say that this is like the iPhone of the exhaust fan world. Solid metal fronts, high density plastic backs, and cables that are the perfect length for most applications. I can't imagine a better fan solution for what I needed it for. And, as fans die eventually (did I mention it has dual-bearing fans, which are rated for 67,000 hours!?), I can't wait to eventually buy the next generation of fan system from this company. If you need a way to move air, at 104 CFM, from one place to another, inside a cabinet, or under a desk, as long as you can cut a hole, this is the product for you!

Look no further for a great unit
This product is great. But I didn’t buy it to use in my entertainment cabinet, I bought it to use as ventilation for my grow cabinet. Installation was a breeze and the included plastic cutting template, yes I said plastic, made installation so much easier. And I can keep the templates in case I ever move my fans and control unit. The fans are super quiet, which actually surprised me because I was expecting a volume close to a computer case fan. I can’t even hear these fans running on high speed. The control unit is great also with multiple settings, speeds, temperature sensor and a great look. Very pleased with this product. If you’re looking for a system that not only performs but also looks great, look no further!
