This is a very nice recliner for the money. It is a very solid recliner compared to the last la-z-boy I had. I purchased this recliner for two reasons. The first and biggest one was because of the brand. My parents purchased a couch, loveseat and recliner made by Lane Furniture. Their furniture set has lasted over 25 years is still functioning wonderfully. There have been no saggy cushions or broken springs. They have had to replace one or two of the reclining levers over the years. Second reason is because this brand is made in the USA. I always like to purchase products that are made in the USA whenever I can. The recliner I chose to purchase is fabric. Is a nice soft fabric. I purchased the latte color fabric. The stitching seems to be well done. The cushions are nice and soft and thick. The base of the chair is made of metal. As is the reclining mechanism. The armrests and backrest are made of wood. This recliner has a lever to release and retract the footrest. I looked for this feature specifically because I don't like the ones where you have to force the footrest down with your legs. The only minor complaint that I have is the reclining mechanism is very stiff. It is easy to bring the footrest up but is quite difficult to pull it back down. I realize that it may become easier with time. This is a brand new chair that was constructed only last month according to the dates on the chair itselef.Now, I've got to give everybody who's thinking about ordering this chair a heads up. I live on the second floor or two story building. The company that delivered the chair said they could not deliver my chair to my apartment door. I do not know why but it is against their policy to deliver beyond ground floor of a building. I did not know this until the chair was being delivered. When I ordered the chair I chose the option to have them deliver it to the entry way of my apartment. The only time slot for delivery I was able to choose was from 3 to 6 pm. From the delivery service company called me they said they could not deliver it in that time frame. They said they could deliver it anywhere between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. they showed up around 9:30 a.m. the package was in great shape when I unboxed it. Amazon probably uses multiple third-party delivery services to deliver their products so it may be a different experience for someone who lives in Florida as opposed to someone who lives in Montana.Anyway, I hope this helps anyone who is thinking of ordering this chair. I have really enjoyed the chair so far. Definitely worth the price. There's a good quality chair for the price. Just remember you get what you pay for and as far as recliners go this chair is very inexpensive.UPDATED:I have had this chair for a little over three months now and it is working great. I do have to fluff the headrest and lumbar support cushions every once in awhile because they are so soft. Once I fluff them they are good to go again. This chair has held together very well so far. My 300-pound brother adding it and it held up very well or him too. When I bought this chair I didn't want to spend a fortune and this chair has you're going me and my money's worth. it's been a great chair and I highly recommend it.

This recliner is better quality than the la-z-boy that it replaced, as it has a metal (instead of wood) foundation. I'm 5'11", and I think if I were taller the chair might not be comfortable for me. However, thankfully, I think it's perfect. I was looking for a smaller sized recliner, and this fits the bill. The reclined position is VERY comfortable, more so than my previous recliner. Feel like it has good back support--hopefully, it will be durable, but time will tell. The taupe color appeared to be much lighter in the pictures. In reality, it seems a bit darker, more like an olive color to me. However, that actually works out better for the decor in the room where I have it, so again, I am very pleased. Delivery was smooth, and assembly is super easy (no tools required).Four years later...still love the recliner. It's an amazing value and fits me perfectly. Shows little sign of wear after four years of daily use. So happy with this purchase.

Nice recliner, very comfortable. BUT THEN, a month in the recliner started getting rough to open and close and now one of the arm is loose and the chair will only open half way. Amazon says to contact Lane, Lane says to contact Amazon. Well, now I am very unhappy and stuck with a broken piece of crap. Wish I could give it ZERO stars! This is a household with 2 average sized adults and no children, no pets, so the recliner is not being abused. NOW I HAVE TO PAY TO RETURN THE CHAIR BECUASE IT'S A FEW WEEKS AFTER THE 30 DAY RETURN

This is a wonderful chair IF you are a tall person. My 6 ft 4 in husband loves it, however, at 5 ft 7 in, my feet are 4 inches off the ground when I sit on it! Also, when you recline on the first setting, you are significantly reclining--not just a little, like others we have had. That said, the fabric is lovely and feels durable, and the chair is not overly wide. I like that because we didn't want a massive chair. Lastly, the brown is such a nice color with tan flecks in it; and the price was great. Happy husband!!

Never thought we would buy a significant piece of furniture sight unseen. This chair is really comfortable and very pretty. Very easy to set up. The delivery people brought it in for us near where we have it set up. All we had to do was a simple unpack and place the back part of the chair onto the base- voila- beautiful, comfy chair for my husband!

This is well made and very comfortable. Well worth the additional cost. Metal frame, beautiful stitching, and MADE IN USA. Have other Lane furniture, and still going strong after years of use. Also, because of arthritis, needed a footrest that operates with a lever. Cannot use the footrests that close by pushing down with your legs. And, it's a rocker. Who could ask for anything more!

UDATE: I have now had the chair about 11 months and I can say with some certainty that this chair is headed to the dump MUCH sooner than my previous recliner. The foot-rest mechanism is wonky and hard to get to stay in place. I have a recommendations if you're looking at the chair:Decide how long you need the chair to last. If it's 5 years, go get another brand🤣I've had the chair for about two weeks. It's comfortable and has nice fabric covering it. The mechanism for the foot rest is sturdy and smooth. It's a little stiff and you have to lean forward to lock the handle to keep the foot rest from popping back up. My main concern with the chair is the arms. They don't seem to have much support and I think the chair is likely to "spread" as the arms get bent outward over time. I have had a chair built like that, so I will baby it a bit to make the chair last. This is no LaZBoy; it's not going to last a decade or more, but the price was good and the chair is fine for my situation.

Wonderful and beautiful chair - the color is absolutely perfect, just what we wanted and we love this chair - purchased two for our room. Comfortable and very easy to assemble - no glitches. Also, our delivery men were wonderful!
