I love the setting and the world building. It is rich for some good story telling but I can see that it's going to take a few volumes. Episodic but the characters are rich. Uneven pacing but that's comics in general. Good stuff, worth reading more

Good story line good characters and the graphics also fine. Positive themes also. Looking forward to full metal alchemist 2.

This is an awesome story! I love it! It is a little annoying that it is only half of a whole book, but you could buy the two in one!

I've watched both versions of the show numerous times and FINALLY am reading the manga. Truly my comfort story in film and ink!

First off, let me say I generally am not a fan of anime or manga and had purchased this book as a Christmas gift for my younger brother. After flipping through the second and getting caught up, I borrowed the first from said brother. The Fullmetal Alchemist anime (television) adaptations (there are two) are good, however they do not compare to the plot and depth of story in the manga. If you are manga fan (or even if you're not, like me) and are looking for a plot revolving around moral right and wrong, love of family, and the lengths we will go to in order to save them, then this is for you. I highly recommend this purchase, and sincerely hope you take the time to read this series some time. If nothing else, binge watch the anime(s) when looking for something different on Netflix :)Note: The "Brotherhood" adaptation is truer to the manga, I prefer the original adaptation.

I have recently purchased the boxed set of this series, and I haven't regretted it once. Literally started rereading it again the moment I finished the first go. What I love about this series is that every character matters, women are not treated as less than men, or over sexualized at all, every villain has more to them than just "being bad", and little hints to the epic finale are trickled into the entire series from the very beginning.Do yourself a favor and buy this series.

Good read, one of my favorite series of all time! I think that FMA is one of the best series for new Anime/Manga enthusiast to get into!

Had recently finished watching the original series and thought, why not read the manga! Bought it with premium delivery, but it arrived a day later than it was supposed to. I got refunded for the delivery so its not all bad, but amazing story and art! Can't wait to buy Fullmetal edition!

This manga has received consistently high reviews for its plot, allegory and appearance. The person I bought it for isn't particularly enthused by manga but was pleased nonetheless.

It was in really good condition the only bad this is the packaging was atrocious the book could've easily fallen out but it was somehow in good condition 👍

I don't usually read manga. But all I can say is I completely fell in love with this book :) very simple plot with an easy to follow storyline
