8" SoftGrip Pruning Shears, Multipurpose Garden Snips with Sheath

I love these. Slightly larger than normal shears but handles three different tools jobs. It has a very nice retention on the spring for strength. There is a serrated blade on one side, a knife blade on the other and the pruning scissors part is extremely sharp. Where gloves because it is more akin to two knives coming together and even the head comes together like a spear for opening plastic bags and so on. It’s straight forward on how to operate it and it takes the job of multiple tools. So it’s a good value of money and space saver. If I had a critique the blade is not made of weather resistant materials and rust extremely easily. Don’t forget these outside and even pruning remember to dry them or it will rust. All things considered I am very happy it in a way reminds me of a Hori Hori but instead of a garden spade with a sharp blade on one side and a serrated on the other it takes this concept with sheers.

This is probably at least my 4th purchase of these trimmers. They work so well and I use them all the time. I have given as a gift, which was much appreciated. They come with a very nice case that you can attach to your belt to keep them in reach at all times while working outside. They are fairly easy to sharpen. They have a notched area at the base of the blades to trim thicker branches. I had been switching to a different trimmer for the thicker branches until I realized this. It is much more convenient now that I know that.

If you like fiskars micro snips, you’ll love these for slightly larger tasks! The serrated edge can get a little in the way for tight spaces, but it actually works pretty well when you need it and is worth having it on these shears.

Good tool. I do gardening, cacti and succulents, and this tool meets my needs for cutting with the blades and the scissors. All of the blades have remained sharp even after using the them to dig. No rust. Must be a good grade of stainless steel.

These are very sharp! Have been using them constantly since they arrived. Carry them with me in my gardening apron everyday. Useful for trimming small branches, cutting open large bags of potting soil, and even popping open cans.

I figured these things would be EXCELLENT for gardening, but I've since found out there's perfect for opening packages too! You won't have any difficulty snipping off dead twigs off pretty much any plant in your garden, and if this doesn't open the most heavily-taped up package...well...you clearly didn't need what's in that box in the first place, as it wasn't sealed up by ancient egyptians for nothing! d;o) Highly recommended! Note: When they say it's sharp, it's VERY SHARP!!! They didn't put that holster/sheath in there for nothing! ALWAYS RETURN IT TO THE SHEATH WHEN YOU'RE DONE!!! They're seriously THAT SHARP!
