I prefer to listen to music using closed back, noise cancelling over-the-ear headphones, such as the Sony WH-1000XM3 (far superior to the Bose QC 35 IMO), but full size cans aren't always convenient, especially if you're engaged in activity that could dislodge the cans from your head. Not long ago I started looking for Bluetooth earbuds, and the first thing I noticed, there appeared to be a glut of these kinds of 'buds. The second thing I noticed was that the majority of these devices were brands I had never heard of, making me more hesitant to choose based on specs and reviews. I ultimately chose a Jabra Bluetooth earbud only because I recognized the name. I ended up sending them back; they sounded okay I think, but they were too hard to fit in my ears to get a good seal and they were too heavy to stay in place. After still more research I purchased the Treblab X5. I won't try to dazzle you with the brilliance of my choice. I just liked the reviews, the specs and the ads. So I gave them a shot. WOW! Maybe it was brilliance (JK), but I am so glad I made that choice. The Treblab X5s are versatile, in that they come with not only 3 sizes of ear tips, 3 sizes of "wings" to help keep the devices stabilized and in place in your ear; but also 3 sizes of foam ear tips. You can even mix 'n' match to achieve whatever combination works best for you. Now the key to getting great bass out of any earbud, as well as noise cancellation, is getting the best possible seal in your ears with your 'buds. The Treblab X5 insures that the majority of users will achieve that. As for the sound, I was knocked out by the clarity, the sound-stage, the bass (once I found my tips and wings), and the accuracy. They are very light weight in spite of their size and appearance. They stay in place well with only occasional adjusting to keep a good seal. They aren't quite as quiet as my Sony's, but they come remarkably close especially considering that they cost a fraction of what the Sony's cost. I'll say it again; if you get a good seal, these 'buds will block out a lot of the ambient sound, and even with music playing at moderate volume you won't hear anything but perhaps the very loudest of noises intruding on your tunes. The audio performance of the Treblab X5 is what really sold me. To my ears the sound is on par with the 'XM3s'. Not the same, but every bit as good. I am impressed! And they are feature laden. You can adjust the volume and do other functions that I haven't tried yet. As I said, they are versatile. And they are American made. Give them a try, You just might impress yourself with your own decision making as well as the Treblab X5 (not kidding). I'm very glad I purchased the Treblab X5 and I can't recommend them enough. Update...7/17/19 In case anyone wants to know, my most recent experience with battery life. I've been getting about 4 hours at a stretch and a hour and a half to charge. I will admit here that I tend to play my music loud. I haven't measured yet what the Db's are that I listen to but if I were to guess I would say less than 60 Db. I prefer to listen to my music from my library on an external hard drive through my laptop, but when I need to move around I use my phone, using the Poweramp app, eq-ing to taste. I play my house system at 75-80 Db, and the near fields in my media room less than that. In any case, my hope is that the battery life may improve with use, because the truth is I hate taking these off to recharge, once I put them on. I'm getting such a kick out of listening to my library through these. The depth and clarity makes them, for me, my got-to listening device. Review: Not impressed with desertcart on this one - I couldn't tell if this package was opened by someone before I got it or the replacement they sent me. The first one had 5 missing earbuds (the rubber and foam) and no manual and no warranty card! Their is no security seal just a gimmicky magnet to hold the box closed so I couldn't even tell if it had been used or not. desertcarts great sent it back and got a new one. This box was only missing the warranty card everything else seemed to be there so I decide to test them out. They had really good sound quality and deep base. The Bluetooth connected easily and had pretty good range however I was getting the random left earbud drop. The deal killer for me was that these did not get 6 hours of battery life as claimed not even 5..... I got 4 hours and that was after a steaming test on a loop the battery was low right at 4 hours. The call quality is okay but not the best and in light of this and the battery life I decided to send them back and give the Jabra elite active a try. Update: 6/8/2019 So I have to update this review to reflect Treblab's EXCELLENT customer service and helping me solve all my problems with this purchase. I ended up getting a pair directly from Treblab that was sealed in plastic and brand new. It seems that desertcart sent me two opened boxes of these ear buds as neither box I received had the plastic wrap around the box and many items were missing from the box. I have know Idea when or where the boxes were opened but it appears it happened somewhere on desertcarts end. The new pair from Treblab actually passed the batter life test I had set up and lasted more than 5 hours. I still didn't get the 6 hours advertised but it was pretty close. The sound was pretty much the same (very good) and the connectivity and call quality were good as well. Overall I'm very satisfied with the pair that I received directly from Treblab and I don't know what was going on with the obviously open boxes that I was getting from desertcart as I ordered NEW.... So to sum it up... I like them, but be weary of any that you receive from desertcart of missing items and open boxes.

IMPRESSIVE build quality!
Read to the end to know why I chose that headline. I'll start with the reason I bought my X5s: my old X2s. Those earbuds were very reliable (always connected and STAYED connected to phones, computers, etc.), had great battery life close to advertised levels and was able to produce sound quality that was very good at the price point. Noise isolation was good even when there was a lot of fast-moving air because of foam ear plugs/ends (most just come with the hollow rubber cups). Comfort suffered a bit due to their design goals, but that was expected; they stayed in my ears without any problems even when I was running/biking. However, I did have a fair amount of trouble with the left earbud "losing sync" with the right one, dropping out, etc. I knew it was likely a limitation of bluetooth at the time. I bought the X5s because after a few years I lost one of my X2 earbuds getting out of my car (so sad). I expected a similar product. I have found the X5s to be everything the X2s were, but with the dropout/bluetooth issues resolved. There is a different charging case design I do not care for; I feel like the earbuds never quite fit "right" when the charging case lid is closed. However, charging works just fine. That said, the X5s are an incredible value and are impressively built earbuds. That leads me to the reason I was motivated to leave this review: the IMPRESSIVE build quality of these earbuds. The expected: these earbuds have been dropped on dirt and concrete multiple times, kicked across the floor, and generally abused as part of normal use by a human, and they've held up very well. The impressive: I'm currently listening to music on these earbuds after they dried out for two days. There are no negative effects that I can hear. This is the *second* time they've been accidentally put in the wash (in a pocket), gone through the clothes washer and dryer and come out fully functional after a drying spell. I'm utterly shocked; this is certainly more than the advertised durability and I am completely impressed with the build quality of these earbuds. In all, these earbuds are an excellent value and a solid product overall. I love them!

Great for audio. Unusable for video and phone.
Great headphones for the gym, listening to music or audio books. Almost unusable for phone calls or watching you tube. I bought these to listen to music during workouts. Apple AirPods fall out of my ears so these work wonderfully the don’t fall out during various exercises. Sound quality is amazing. Battery life and range are great. They have not died on me and I am able to be about 40 feet away before they start to cut out. The bad part is there is a lag in sound when watching YouTube. Pretty much makes them unusable for YouTube. I took a few phone calls with them and people immediately asked why the sound quality is so bad. I am giving them 3 stars since they work wonderfully for my intended use. The ear pieces feel like food quality. The case feels a little flimsy. I’ve had them for 3 months and use them daily.

Ongoing review. So far, mostly good
This will be an ongoing review as the are testing in different scenarios over time All testing done with: - A range of devices - Different music and sources (native, streaming) - Different ranges (walked around the room, walked into different rooms) - Different operators (wife, son, mom) July 1st, 2019 Sound quality is about what I expected. For less than $100 these suckers are well worth the price to performance. Fit and comfort is solid. No way these are coming out of my ears and after 1 hour, I kind of didn't notice I was wearing them. I like my music pretty loud. I would prefer them to crank a little more, but as is isn't bad at all. I would recommend using the memory foam tips for a better seal. I first hooked them up to my Tab S2 (I know... Outdated hardware). I immediately got the left ear audio drop at an occurance of of 2-3 times per minute. No Bueno I then hooked them up to my Galaxy S9. So far, 1 hour of playtime and no audio drops. Bueno Hooked them up to a Moto Z2. Audio drops immediately at an occurrence of 3-4 times per minute. No Bueno Hooked them up to a 2016 iPad 9.7 inch. 1 hour of playtime and no drops. Bueno. Tested them on an iPad Pro 11 inch. No audio drops. Sounded good. Bueno Initially, I would say these are a solid buy. I would watch out if you are running older hardware as you might get audio desyncing issues July 9 - changed my rating to 5 stars. These earbuds are simply fantastic. Great battery life, awesome fit and comfort, and sound quality is superb especially considering the price I've not had any desyncing issues on my new GS10+. I do get a little on my Tab S2, but that is to be expected on a 7 year old tab running 5.1. I plan on upgrading to the Tab S6 when it comes out (hopefully next month) I highly recommend these buds. They sound great, don't fall out, and they are relatively cheap

Terrible for calling purposes
Here is my issue with this device and the reason why I give it one star... the sound quality is amazing, battery life is more than enough but when it comes to making calls, terrible design... only one works because apparently they want you to be aware of your “surroundings” so what’s the point of having two while you are listening to music? And the fact that they disconnect every once in a while throughout the day is annoying... it happens randomly so it makes it all that annoying... sometimes you don’t catch it bc the sound quality is that good and the noise canceling as well... but regardless that disconnection is annoying and when you do make a call... those at the other end can’t even hear you correctly... I even tested it with AMAZON and the rep couldn’t even hear me... they kept asking me to repeat myself... that tells you a lot

Good sound. Good fit. Good design. Poor connection quality.
This was my first set of wireless earbuds. I've been using a multitude of reasonably high-quality, wired, in-ear headphones for many years and was worried about degraded sound quality. These mostly stack up. The Good: When the connection is strong, the sound quality is very good! The fitment is also very good. These things do not move around and I found them comfortable enough to wear for extended periods (3+ hours). The Bad: They are susceptible to interference from other Bluetooth devices. In areas with high-concentrations of wireless signals (e.g. the gym, airports, crowded offices), the earbuds frequently lose connection with each other and with the audio source. This means that music drops out of the left ear bud, or both ear buds, randomly and frequently. On a moderately-crowded day at the gym they were unusable. Also, due to the limitations of Bluetooth v4, and the fully-separated earpiece design which requires two wireless connections (one to pair the left and right earbuds and one to pair the right earbud with the source), phone calls only come through the right earbud (the left/right connection is broken in order to establish a two-way connection with the phone or computer). Though this doesn't make the product unusable, I found it rather annoying. With so many Bluetooth headphones to choose from, I'm probably going to return this and get something that will actually work for me more of the time.

Pleasantly satisfied! Great quality budget earbuds!!
These are the second set of earbuds I purchased for working out (mainly running outdoors). While I have only had these ear phones for a week and I do charge them after every workout, I must say so far I am very satisfied. The volume isn’t too loud and they def aren’t like beat or bose headphones but for the price these are better than any other earbuds. The first brand I purchased was horrible and wouldn’t stay in my ears and the volume was in only one bud. However that is not the case with these. These ear buds stay in my ear, deliver quality sound and last throughout my 1.5-2hr workouts. They are easy to set up, par with my phone and perform well. Honestly, I would def purchase another pair from this company. And besides the actual product, the company that sells them was great, the buds arrived the same day I ordered them with my prime membership and were in pristine condition (brand new). I rarely leave detailed reviews but since I always read others reviews & 3rd party like CNET reviews before purchasing products esp electronics, I felt I needed to leave my honest review to help others. Also, they appear to be completely water resistant (meaning I can wear them through sweat and rain without damaging them).
