A Kid's Guide to Australia

Great Australian animal book
Great book for young children about the Australian animals. Especially our grandchildren living in the USA

They could do a little better -
The "Where in the World Is Australia" page gives a map of that section of the world, and references New Guinea, which is not very helpful for western hemisphere kids who likely don't know where New Guinea is. No map of the greater world as reference. Discussion of the Great Barrier Reef doesn't show or tell where the reef is (I would need to look it up myself) Ditto for Kangeroo Island, which is discussed, but location not shown. The cities are placed on the hard-to-read world map, but not on the full page map of Australia showing the territories. Again, this would have been helpful. Last couple pages of the book and back cover are to promote their website and other books. All in all, it's got some basic info and is missing much other info, even for a basic level.

Wonderful to introduce children to Australia
Wonderful to introduce children to Australia. My son's teacher grew up in Australia and was homesick, we bought her this to share with her kids and it brought so much happiness to them!

Interesting but basic
Though there is some interesting information, it’s pretty basic, but as an introduction it’s fine. I got the ‘new 2020 edition’ which said it talked about the recent wildfires. Well. There were four small paragraphs about wildfires on Kangaroo Island and that was all. I was very disappointed.

Poor quality pictures
Book has terrible quality, low-res pixilated pictures. Looks like this might be a print on demand title and perhaps the wrong files were used? Not sure, but this isn’t up to publishing standards. I now see similar complaints in reviews of other books in this series. I didn’t keep it long enough to evaluate the other content, I returned it because of the low-res pictures. Save your money.

DO NOT BUY
This is a VERY poor quality book and definitely not worth the £7+ price. The print quality is shocking and almost appears like it’s a scanned it copy of an original. The actual content and images in the book are good for the purpose I wanted (to show my 7 year old where he is going and so he can have an understanding of some of the animals and cultural history) but I feel very cheated - I would return it but needed it for today

Americanised Crap - DO NOT BUY
DO NOT BUY. Inaccurate details like maps missing the A.C.T., likely stolen but definitely low resolution (US passport used in place of an Australian one) and heavily pixelated images that look like crap and the final straw, a very Americanised bias of story telling. Not worth the money or your effort of ordering it, getting extremely disappointed, writing a scathing review and finally returning this piece of crap to be incinerated by Amazon Corp.
