Furhaven 26" Round Cooling Gel Dog Bed for Medium/Small Dogs w/ Removable Washable Cover, For Dogs Up to 30 lbs - Microvelvet Snuggery - Silver (Gray), 26-inch

This arrived in a vacuum packed package and I had to put it together myself. It's just a piece of thick egg crate foam that you slip into the case like a pillow, then zip up. That was mildly difficult because it should fit tightly, but I found folding it in half, sticking it in there, then letting it unfold inside the case worked well. The foam itself seems of decent quality, kind of like memory foam, but it doesn't hold the shape of your hand or anything. Once you get the foam inside, getting the plastic tube thing that holds up the front inside the little pocket that holds it isn't too difficult. You do have to start at the correct end tho, so if one end doesn't seem to be working, try the other side. Once assembled it looks just like the picture. My dog was mostly thrilled and liked diving inside at first, but I think maybe it gave him a static shock because I noticed when I stuck my arm in there it did that to me, and he hasn't been inside it since I first put it together. He still enjoys sitting on top of it tho, even tho the one side sticks up and looks funny when he sits on it like that. Maybe if I wash it with a lot of Downy that will fix the problem.

This is the 26 inch model and it is quite large for my 13 pound chihuahua-cross. She likes the somewhat firm cushion, and she hasn't destroyed the "sherpa" covering with her digging (but I do pull out any fluff that she does rake off). The top has no padding or bolster, but I roll a towel and put it inside across the back, but the top still does sag onto the dog. I wouldn't put this anywhere but on the floor, because a dog who digs or circles a lot could possibly tip the whole thing over because there is no bolster across the back. The bow support for the top front fits snuggly in its pockets and does allow for the front to pivot forward and backward about 6 inches. Overall we are pleased.

A high quality dog bed should be not only comfortable and supportive, which this one is, but it should also come with a waterproof liner. This one does not. Also, it is plain beige with no pink tint at all. You can click on the Furhaven Store and get a dedicated liner, or (what I did) is put the foam inside a large (larger than kitchen size) garbage bag, and then put on the outer cover. You can also go to the Furhaven store and get an extra cover, which I recommend. What is the dog supposed to lie down on while the cover's being washed and dried, after all?

Our dog wouldn't sleep on this bed for a long time. Then the cat got on it, and so he did too. He now will sleep on it, until I go to bed--then he curls up next to me on my bed. He will sleep on the dog bed if he's hot, and some nights all night. He doesn't really enjoy the cover, but I guess every dog has a preference. It's very nice memory foam, and doesn't seem to tamp down after many uses, so we keep it.

My 'petite' Dane girl is 85lbs and super skinny. If she feels a breeze she gets cold, so in anticipation of her guilting me out of my own bed this winter I bought her this. Since she is also part chicken I crawled into this bed to try to coax her in amd demonstrate it for her. She looked at me like I've lost my mind (she's not wrong) and trotted her skinny butt over to the couch. Her 2 golden retriever brothers on the other hand took delight in climbing into this doggie cave with me. The Dane is still watching me pull retriever fur off my clothes. This is a good buy and I'll probably buy another one.

but our mini dachshund Bob Barker is ok with it. the cats like it too, good thing I bought 3. Getting one for my granddog who loves anything. none of our pets are chewers it seems like it would be easy to destroy.

My little 14 year old Boston with arthritis LOVES this bed. As soon as I put it down he was in it for the rest of the night! I could not get him to go outside or to eat. I even took him out of it and he was pushing me to get back to the bed. Lol! And he did get out to eat this morning but he went right back to his new bed. Best purchase ever!

Our dog absolutely LOVES this bed! She uses it all throughout the day. She has a super short coat and gets cold easily. We did not put the tube in to hold up the cover. This helps her use it more as a blanket. The circular shape of the bed helps her get in and cover herself up. Cannot recommend this enough! Would totally buy again.

Muy cómoda y suave. Nuestro mini la adora. No le pusimos la manguerita alrededor de la manta lo que le permite envolverse totalmente tal como les gusta para una buena siesta. Es la segunda que compramos para usarla en un sitio diferente y salió tan buena como la primera.

Es buen material, no lo recomiendo para cachorros por qué si están en etapa de morder no se si resista.
