Easy to Use Pots that Look Great!
These guys are great. They are "self watering" to a point. You still have to water your plants every 3-4 weeks, depending on their water needs, but it saves a lot of time. I use them inside other ceramic decorative pots so I don't have to water but once every 3 weeks or so. But they are certainly pretty enough to use by themselves. It's very easy to lift the inside planter out to fill the outer pot with water. I love that they have 5 different sizes and give you the exact height and diameter of each one. I love that they come in 10 or more color choices. The quality is great. These are especially nice for those thirsty plants like Peace Lily that don't like to go dry and normally need watering more than once a week. These are perfect for indoor plants and outdoor plants that are under cover. I do not use them in areas that get rain since they would accumulate too much water in those locations and they don't have any way to drain the excess water out of the outer pot. These allow YOU to control the amount of water your plants receive.I review hundreds of products I buy on Amazon and rely on reviews from others a lot too to make my purchase decisions. I paid full price for several of these and wrote this review so others will know of my experience. I only buy and review items I really need or want. I only rate an item 5 stars if I would pay full price for it or be willing to give it as a gift. I do give 1 star (since you can't give 0) to items which are so bad that I throw away, return for refund or wouldn't want even if free. I try to mention all the pros and cons of products. I have no affiliation with this company or any company for products I review, and my reviews are always totally my own (including any photos/videos). I hope my time spent reviewing this item helped in your decision. If it did, please vote "yes" below! Thanks!

An attractive pot for wick watering
I bought these for African Violets. They are a bit taller than I usually use, but I fill the bottom 1.5" with Pearlite and then with my potting mix on top. That allows me to keep the water level a little higher than if the pot was filled completely with mix. These pots are similar in principle to the Oyama pots but are more readily available and at a better price. So far I have used four of the eight that I bought and the plants are doing well (perhaps better than when I they were in a traditional four inch AV pot.Watering is easy, simply lift out the inner pot and pour water into the outer pot. I wish there was some witness line on the inside of the outer pot for water level, but I fill higher because of my Perlite layer anyway. It was important to me to find a way of wick watering that isn't utilitarian looking. These posts are exactly what I needed.

Not bad
Beautiful but look more small like I was think. Not convenient to get the inner container.

I love these pots. I've been using them for almost a year now.
I love this brand and style of pot. I have quite a few now in different sizes and colors. This one is in a deep, pretty fuchsia. It will look nice with my Christmas zygocactus. I like these pots because whether you water from top or from bottom, there are no saucers to overflow. It's all contained inside the outer pot. They also are easy to keep clean, my plants seem to like them, and they are sold in many sizes and colors and even shapes. They are much prettier than the usual plastic pots. They can be just a little fragile, so be careful taking them apart. Also I've found that when you have reason to take them apart, before you slip the outer pot back into the inner pot, dry all areas that touch. That makes it easier to get them apart next time. And follow instructions how to use them. For indoors they will last a long time. I can't speak for outdoors.

Beautiful + makes plant care simple and fun
The watering system for this planter was going to be enough if it functioned as described, but boy was I surprised--I love everything about it! A quality product, sturdy yet lightweight, color and shape are as pictured, looks elegant and yet simple! Fyi you need to add clean gravel for the bottom, so get some in anticipation. Important part of the system's function. I ordered more of these planters in complementary colors and can't wait to see my plants in them! This is a company that puts effort into what plant lovers want and need to make plant care enjoyable. This is a winner on every level!!

Great sturdy pot, but extremly hard to separate from interior pot to add water
This pot looks great, but considering how hard it is to get into, it would be great if it at least had a little indicator window at the bottom so that you can see the water level. The inner pot that holds the plant and soil has no lip on it so it's very hard to open up for watering. I'll have to excuse the lack of functionality since it's the metallic gold color I wanted so that it'd coordinate well with the other pots in my bedroom.

Fabulous for African Violets!
I use the 5.3 inch size for my African violets and get terrific results. The pot colors are all pretty, but I'm hoping they eventually make these in the pretty sea foam color they use for some of their other pots. How I grow my violets: I line the bottom (including the little legs) of the internal containers with vermiculite and use a planting medium that is a mixture of vermiculite and peat moss. I only water from underneath and I let the plants dry out a bit between waterings -- but not too much! All the the water from the outer container is absorbed within a few hours of my watering from the bottom. I don't leave water sitting in that bottom container. If your plants aren't sucking up water from the outer container, try pressing down a bit on the inner container to make a tighter vacuum seal.

Meh
when I received this product it was not white. I was clear plastic with a black planter that sits inside the clear container. I guess I expected an eggshell white outer container with a black inner container. I can see the water level on the outside but it's not pretty when the water gets brown due to the dirt. In theory it is nice to see the water level so I know when to re-water, but it's not visually appealing. It's a great starter pot but not something fashionable/permanent that I thought it was going to be. It works well, but not something I'd recommend as a 'showpiece' or permanent pot. Its more of a seed starter pot. I also thought it was ceramic but it's plastic.
