Great antenna , easy assembly
1st contact was Panama Central America with 50 watts of power on my 991 a. Antenna is approximately 30 feet up.

Seems to work well
So far so good

Decent SWR from 24.6 to 29.7 mhz. Tunes nicely to under SWR 1.4 anywhere in between.
After tuning the antenna to CB channel 19 (by trial and error adjustment of the top antenna segment to its eventual 20.5 inches), the SWR for the entire CB band was under 1.4 (see first pic). The antenna is advertised as operating from 26.4 to 29Mhz, but it can handle a slightly wider range. You'll need an antenna tuner if you try to use the entire rated spectrum. If you stay narrow around your tuned band, you won't need a separate tuner. The second pic shows the SWR curve for 24.625-29.745 mhz (supported by many export radios). With an antenna tuner, you should have no trouble anywhere between 24 and 30 meters with this antenna. If the antenna is tuned for CB and you stay on CB (likewise for 10 or 12 meters, etc.), you won't need a tuner.

Great Antenna for the money.
I am impressed with the SWR numbers I get with this antenna. The reception is exceptional and the assembly is a piece of cake. The only thing I did extra was add a drop of Loctite to the Allen bolt at the very top after it was tuned and some Gorilla water proof tape to where the sections joined together.I would also recommend a good lightning arrestor on the coax and a good ground wire to a proper grounding rod. This antenna has already survived its Texas first lightning storm.

Good value. Seal the joints from rain. Respect the power rating.
Update 08-08-2021:I'm walking back my comment regarding power handling. Sure, respect it. However, I didn't damage the antenna with my DX-1600 as I had thought. I just pulled this antenna down since I couldn't run even 100W before my SWR would go from nearly flat to > 3:1 in a second. I put up a Super Penetrator 500, tuned it to 1.05:1 SWR and have the exact same problem as with the Sirio. So I have other problems in my signal chain. Other than the water intrusion issue, this antenna has been just fine. It's stood up to some crazy storms where we supposedly had 80MPH winds. The Siro held up fine through it all.Original Review:I have to say this isn't a terrible antenna for the money. Low SWR, wide bandwidth, easy tuning and it's held up to some horrendous wind storms. I have to knock it on weathertightness though. There will be days after it rains and my SWR is sitting around 2. It clears up after a minute or so with a 250W carrier, so I'm pretty sure that I have a moisture intrusion issue. I should have taped the radiator sections like recommended by other users. Also, respect the power ratings. I got a little overzealous with the Sweet Sixteen one evening and burned the matching coil in one spot. I saw the needle reach a KW on 27.385 LSB when brawling in a pileup. It still works normally until I exceed 100W in that freq range, and then it breaks over and the SWR shoots up. I imagine it's arcing across the area of the windings that are visibly burnt. 50KC lower and she'll take 750 without issue. Otherwise, I'm impressed for an 80 dollar antenna.

it blows smoke!
put it up 25 ft, flat as in SWR needle does not move on frequency i tuned it for and stays flat for about .7mhz span tuned to 27.385 you can go up to 28.5 for 10 meter and the swr is under 1.5. the receive is incredible and clean. it is so light you can do simple installations with 1 or 2 people (just be careful esp w powerlines around.) it does not handle crazy amounts of power but i don't care about that. i was able to put it together on a lunch break and the swr and tuning were exactly where i wanted it following their simple instructions. basically the top element length is the tuning section, it gives several frequencies and the length in MM to set it to in the 1 page instruction set, love it, so simple. you do have to add some weather proofing for the tuning screw and the sleeves, what i did was used electrical tape on all of the screws, joints and the matching coil. some people do more than that with hose clamps. not a big deal just use what you have.at 25 ft in the air i have better receive than my old "max 2000" at 35 feet. transmit appears to be as good as well. it is only 17-18 feet long so how it does this i do not know, the imax is 24 ft long and should be better, maybe it is the humble 4 ft ground radials. maybe the Italians make better antennas, this is my first Sirio and i am very impressed easily better than the a99 and "max 2000" so much cleaner sound coming out of the receive and i am told i am cleaner sounding with a contact that is 35 mi away on AM and SSB.great antenna for someone who wants cb and/or ham capability ( you do have to think about where you want to tune it, in my case it was upper CB band with some 10 meter capability), light weight easy to assemble and install and don't plan on using more than 250 watts.

Best antenna ever....
I gotta say I'm so impressed with the sirio gpe 27 base CB antenna.. I only had it up for roughly 5 days ...I already made contact 21 miles away I'm in Windsor Ontario Canada and was talking to a guy in Livonia Michigan USA ... I also got skip for about 5 minutes to a guy on upper queen street in London Ontario witch is 118.6 miles away .. I'm running a bear foot stock Uniden pc787 CB radio no ssb and I'm on am channel 11 ...my antenna from ground to top of antennas egg better it's roughly 40 feet high... I was using a cheaper antenna befor I got the sirio gpe..the workman b100 witch I only got like 8 to 10 miles max and not much skip so the sirio is a huge inprovment...the sirio gpe 27 5/8th wave survived wind gust up to 40 miles a hour so far...this is the first big base antenna I have had and so far it's the best antenna I ever used..

Great product from great store
This 11 meter (cb band) vertical ground plane antenna is very well constructed and super easy to assemble and tune to your specific radio. Haven't got it up on the tower yet, but I anticipated no foreseeable problem but expect great service. Very pleased with product, delivery time and excellent packaging. Dealing with a class A product from a class A store. Thanks Amazon 👍🏽
