Works great!
This phone worked right out of the box, one to a Samsung A32 via audio port, and also to a Samung A35 with included adapter via the USB C port. The adapter didn't work cross platform to iPhone via USB C but I bought a couple cheap ones and now it will work on both! Great phone! Fair price! The weight feels good like the older phone type that it is simulating. The sound worked well, and the cup shaped receiver over your ear helps a lot when using a cell phone, and no hitting buttons accidentally with my face. We'll see how long it lasts, but at this point I may buy another one for my Dad. Great device for the price!

Great for Teams/Zoom Calls
We've stopped using telephones at work and everybody talks to each other with Teams or Zoom even if they don't want video. Most people have decided to give up their desk phones for extra real estate, including me. But using Teams with headphones or ear buds for unplanned calls is awkward. You have to keep them nearby even if they're not plugged in all the time, then fumble with them when a call comes in. I didn't like it so I bought one of these. Now it sits next to my docking station, plugged in and waiting for a call. I just pick it up and answer on the screen. It's great! From a lifetime of experience I'm good for a long time holding it without much tsuris, and if I get tired I can just switch to buds. As it's still new, it's made for some fun conversations as people see it for the first time on a video call. There are cheaper versions of this idea on Amazon, but I went with this one based on reviews and features. This one doesn't have any buttons to break or not work, and the sound is really very good - especially for those listening to me from a microphone right in front of my mouth. The handset is nice and heavy in the hands, substantial but not too much. You could definitely use it as a club to good effect, LOL. Edit: The short turned out to be in the docking station, not the phone. No problems with this item.

Looks great; sound quality terrible!
Nice heft and appearance but the sound quality is complete junk! Even with my volume turned all the way up, this phone is soft and tinny. When I spoke on it, the person at the other end of the ge call said I sounded muffled. Super bummed because I love the way it looks and I would love it to work but it's just junk so it won't do what it promises.

This brand is correctly oriented
This headset is oriented the correct way. I have noticed that most other retro style headsets sold have the earpiece and the mouthpiece switched, which is not going to be comfortable to use. The indented part is supposed to go on your ear so that it creates a nice little cup around your ear, this is the only headset I’ve seen that is oriented that way. It has a nice heft to it like the old style phone set. I got one of these for my mom who doesn’t like to use earphones and also doesn’t like to hold the phone up to her ear and this is a lot more comfortable for long telephone conversations. We connected it to an iPhone and it worked just like it was supposed to when we confirmed we were attaching external headphones to the phone. I noticed in some reviews they said their phone wouldn’t recognize it. I think the key is to check your headphone settings on your phone. Make sure that you press hard to insert the AUX plug all the way into the adapter there should be a click. And you may need to turn it off your phone and turn it back on and then make sure if it asks if you are plugging in headphones, you say yes, so that you get both the sound and the microphone. My only drawback is that I couldn’t seem to get this to work with the lightning adapter on an older phone only with the USB-C adapter on the new phones. I wish that rather than using an adapter, the phone cord just had the USB-C or lightning plug built-in. But aside from that, THIS is the headset you want if you’re looking for a retro style headset for both the weight and the speaker orientation of the headset

Great! buy it
Very fun item, audio sounds very similar to old handset phones. Build quality is great and perfect length cable. Would buy another.

Bringing back the joy of talking on the phone
I’m thrilled with this product because I’m making an effort to talk on the phone more frequently to my friends instead of texting. It has a nostalgic feel to use, and the cable length is perfect. The handset feels comfortable in my hand and functions as expected. The primary reason I bought it is that my hands get tired holding the iPhone while talking, and I don’t want to wear my EarPods all the time. My wife noticed me using it with my computer and she thought it was a great use since it also supports a standard headset jack.

A clever idea
Such a brilliant idea! Anyone of a certain age will appreciate using this retro-cool handset which plugs into the mobile's charging port. It makes talking on a cell phone a much more enjoyable experience, as the handset is so much nicer to hold than a little rectangular slab. It allows you to keep the phone (and all the radiation it emits) away from your head. And it also means you don't have to use the speaker phone -- not only you, but probably anyone else in the room, too, will appreciate you being able to have a private conversation. This is an authentic handset (not one of those silly pretend, cheap plastic things), with the proper weight, look and feel of the real thing, and it comes in an array of great colors. I myself have one each in bright blue, white, and green, and they all look sensational. NOTE: This version works with Android phones, but there is a version of the handset for iPhones as well. I needed to purchase a separate Lightning to Headphone Jack adapter for my iPhone 14 (it was easy to find here). It's a terrific product, so why only three stars? Well, unfortunately, one of my handsets stopped working after about a year -- no sound coming in the earpiece or out of the mouthpiece. It just simply quit. But my other two handsets still work perfectly, and it's been a few years now. So I probably just got a dud, and hopefully that is highly unusual. And to be fair to the seller, I didn't get let them know about the issue, and give them the opportunity to replace the handset.

Practically identical to an old desk phone’s handset
I wanted this to use with my iPhone 5c. It is a lot easier to hold and the sound from the speaker is so much better than the phone’s. My first “test call” was great on both ends. The person I called said that she could understand and hear me as well or better than the phone alone. I could hear her better than with the phone alone. I have an old Western Electric rotary desk phone. The Opis handset is practically identical in color (black), size, shape and weight to my phone’s. I like antiques and wanted to somehow use my old phone. I put the Opis handset on my rotary’s base, and at first glance it looks like the old one. It is neat to have the feeling of using the type of phone I grew up using. The only downside is the wire. It’s not as thick or maybe as strong as the old Western Electric handset’s. That is practically the only giveaway that it isn’t the phone’s original. Anyone that wants to do what I’ve done, this is the handset to buy. Old phones were so much easier to hold and use. This Opis almost brings back those old times. Update: As of 19Dec’20, this handset has been great. I’ve gotten used to picking up the handset first when the phone rings, and to make a call. My iPhone seems more like a caller ID device now. I never text or use social media so my phone stays at home. This is as close as possible to what I remember 1970s home phones to be. I honestly wish it was possible to use the rotary dial again. With my ringtone set to “classic, old phone”, it is almost like the desk phone would be. I ran the Opis’ cord under the phone base through some zip ties to give the appearance of it being connected. Then back out to my iPhone 5c. Now, if I move away from my chair while talking, I need to pick up the old phone and (5c will hang on the cord, It connects good and doesn’t fall off) I enjoy the nostalgic experience of that.
