Excelent case if you need all the features.
There are relatively few 3U rack mount cases that allow for seven full-height expansion slots. This one also has a rear-mounted power supply, so the airflow is cool air in the front, warm air out the back. This matches most name-brand rack-mount servers and is the way cooling in most server racks and data centers is designed. The cost of this compatibility is the need for some non-standard components. iStar designs this case to be used with their redundant power supply units. Using a standard rack mount power supply is possible, but requires an adapter plate (and depending on the form factor of the power supply, possibly an internal support bracket as well). Since the case is only 3U high, there is no way to fit an ATX power supply, and the height may limit the choice of CPU cooler. (In the case of the CPU cooler, you're probably safe with a stock cooler, it's the larger premium coolers that won't fit.)If you need the lower profile and front-to-back cooling to fit in with other servers, this case is worth the price and all the associated costs. If you want a rack-moutable case for a single computer, you may be better off looking for a 4U case or one of the 3U cases that lets you front-mount a standard ATX power supply.

Quality case without provision for front mounted fans
As mentioned by another reviewer this case will probably not be a "bolt up" project for most as it has NO provisions for cooling fans except two (one included) small 60mm fans in the rear and it also requires a non-standard size power supply. That being said, I must say that the quality of materials and workmanship is top notch - the case is made from heavier gauge steel than usual and all edges are rolled so as to not cause scratched/cut hands and arms while building. I was able to McGiver a couple of fans with tie wraps and used an SFX form factor power supply which fit without much problem. I take away one star due to the fatal design flaw of not providing fan mounts behind the front openings which already have filters.
