Rare view of an important Miles Davis band
This was Miles' transition band from the classic quintet of the '60s (Wayne, Ron, Tony, Herbie) to the electric bands of the '70s. I was lucky enough to have seen this band just five days before these recordings were made. They blew the roof off the Sam Houston Coliseum in Houston, and, as you can hear in these discs (I'm listening to the LP version mostly) recorded in France, late July, 1969. These are of particular interest because this is the core band Miles would take into the studio a few weeks later to record Bitches Brew, and you can witness them working out this volatile new material via these recordings. Wish there was more material out there of this group, but doesn't seem like there is. Get this!

Electric Miles
It's my favorite era of Miles and a fantastic four record set from 1969 with that so called "Lost Quintet", the quintet that never recorded a studio album, but thankfully these live recordings exist that give an indication of what they could do, at least. Excellent set. Fast shipping, top class transaction.

Firy
Superb record of the quintet at their firiest.

Imperdibile
Nonostante sia un "bootleg series" la registrazione non รจ affatto male, in quanto alla musica..che dire, un jazz freschissimo e senza tempo, insomma: un capolavoro!
