Sennheiser CX 3.00 Black In-Ear Headphone (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

The clarity, the bass, the highs that I can actually hear!I recently broke my  Audio-Technica ATH-CKM55BK Noise Isolation In-Ear Headphones - Black (Discontinued by Manufacturer)  (now discontinued) in-ear headphones and have been suffering under a pair of Sony earbuds dug out of a junk drawer. These sound so beautiful after listening to a pair that has no bass, leaks sound like mad, and hisses when the cord brushes against something.I miss the extension on the AT ones, it allowed me to carry my music player in my breast pocket without a ton of extra cord getting in the way, but these are very similar in quality to those.Excerpt from my Audio-Technica review:"The frequency response is very good. The bass rumbles and the highs are actually audible. These tiny little headphones are almost as good as studio monitors. Actually, if you're shopping at a big box store these are probably better than most they have in stock. The volume is lower than many others I've used but the fit in my ears makes blasting them unnecessary, and as an added benefit I haven't had anyone complain that I have my headphones turned up too loud since I switched to these. They don't completely shut out sound, you can tell when someone is trying to talk to you or hear horns blaring nearby (probably a good thing if you prefer to remain three dimensional) but background noise is completely cut out."The same applies to these, and the specifications are similar, they both actually have a wider frequency response range than my Fiio media player does.The deciding factor between the two, in my opinion, is if you want a short cable with an extension or a single longer cable and if you're rough with them. I haven't had the chance to abuse these much yet, but the build quality of the actual earpiece feels more solid here, so I suspect they'll be a bit more difficult for me to accidentally crush these.

These earphones are arguably the best earphones under $100. When it comes to headphones Sennheiser is my number one choice as I do love the warm sound signature Sennheiser headphones have. Now I'm no stranger to IEM's. I have owned Klipsch S4's, S4 II's, Shure SE 215 and these CX 3.00's blow them all out of the water. Compared to the Klipschs, the S4's have a bloated bass that muffles the mids and highs and they are quite heavy due to the tangle free cable which caused the earphones to come off easily. The CX 3.00's win against the S4's. Compared to the Shure SE 215's these CX 3.00s have a much more clear and refined sound. The highs are more detailed, the mids are very nice and smooth and the bass is nice and tight. I always felt the SE 215's were too muffled due to the treble roll of and enhanced bass. In that regard the Senns win over the Shure's. Of course if you spend over a $100 you get better sound, but I just can't see myself paying that much on earphones when I only use them when walking around school. Now just a word of advice DO NOT use IEM's when working out because you will get annoyed by the cable noise! For working out I would recommend the bose IE2's, or a pair of on ear headphones like the Sennheiser PX 100 II, 200 II, if you still want the Sennheiser brand. Overall these are an absolute steal at there price and I highly recommend them. Oh yeah and these sound great with metal(Thrash, Death, Black, Grindcore) just in case y'all were wondering the genre I tested these on.

This is a review 24 hours after receiving.The Sennheiser CX 3.00 was a replacement for my Samsung S3 headphones I have been using for the past 2 years. This pair also marks the first time I've spent more than $20 on any pair of headphones. They are being used as my day to day pair at my desk. These are not my pair for running or exercising.Simply put, the change in audio quality from a basic pair of headphones to this is amazing. The bass, which I'm all about, is way deeper and louder and fuller than any other pair I've tested (Samsung headphones, iPhone headphones, and a cheap pair of Skullcandy headphones I had laying around). The sound is clearer and less tinny sounding.The cord is much longer than my previous pair which is nice. I really like the L shaped plug at the end as well as the hard plastic that protects the cable at the plug connector. The only criticism I have against these headphones is that the cable feels weak near the earbuds. I could easily see the wire coming loose after a short time of use. It'd be nice to see some hard plastic up there to keep the wire from detaching.All in all, it's a solid pair of earphones. While I'm not sure I will get this exact pair again when these ones break, I think this was the best pair of headphones I could get at the $40 price point.

Der Bass ist zwar ein wenig zu laut und wummert ein wenig, bei leichter Absenkung des Basses mit einem eq ist der Klang für den Preis (ich habe 25 EUR bezahlt) aber durchaus akzeptabel!

If you’ve read my other reviews you know I have a Headphone chewing cat problem called Comet, who happens to love eating the ear pieces off headphones so I had to buy new Sennheiser headphones to replace another chewed pair. Yes, he’s a pest, but he’s an adorable pest. :D. These headphones are great, with awesome sound quality, and are so comfortable. They were also a great price, which I’m so happy about, as Comet is costing me a fortune in headphones, lol. :D. They arrived very well packaged and in an incredible time frame. These headphones also have the call interrupter switch for iPhones. :D. Gotta love ‘em. :D.
