Great part, quick shipping, description could be better.
The part was simple to install and does exactly what it's supposed to do. The red tape even serves to seal the 1/2" pipe threads. The photo and description are incomplete. This is not a problem with the part -- only with the photo and description. The 1/8" threads are 1/8" female NPT tapped in a hole drilled in one of the faces of the hex-shaped part of the piece. If the part that was photographed was turned the right way, it would show that. Also, that information could easily be part of the description, but is not included.

Fixed the problem. No more "rapid" leak down from check valve not seating properly.

Only npt on tank side
For those of you needing a half inch compression thread on the outside of the tank this check valve will work. If you're expecting 1/2 mpt on both sides you will be dissatisfied and is hard to get off the shelf components to work with.

Great valve
Fantastic--got my mutt compressor up and running with this inexpensive part. Previous owner had muddled a 3/4 inch check valve onto an awkware plumbing stack that required removal of motor and v-compressor head to get the broken check valve.
