Replacement part does NOT fit! Specialty part that should have been checked before production.
I received this part today...took it to my machine to see how it fit. Surprise! It did NOT! I read the reviews...they are for the exact same part...if you look carefully at the original part that comes with the machine for bias tape, the iron cover top casing is attached with screws that do not have plastic plug-hole covers. The replacement part DOES...it has Simplicity packaging but when I tried to interchange the iron cover, the slotted hole insert tabs DID NOT LINE UP WITH THE BASE UNIT. Shouldn't an engineer have approved of the schematics before production of this attachment? I'm not sending it back because I have the skills and tools to cut the L-tabs off, build-out the inside of the iron cover where they need a spacer, and re-attach the tabs. Doesn't this sound ridiculous to have to do? The part came from Amazon, not a third-party vendor. Disappointed here. One star for negligence.
