MinnKota as always
MinnKota has lived up to its name once again. Great motor. Pushes my 18ft Express thru the water with no problem and had no problem in light winds. This was a really good deal on the price because the charger came with it.

DISAPPOINTED
I bought a new Minnkota Edge trolling motor to make sure our week long fishing trip to a remote lake would go as planned. WRONG!!!! It worked 1 and a half days, then quit. Initially, the momentary mode did not work at all, so we had to use it in constant mode. The motor quit entirely after approximately 10 hours of use. When we were trying to determine what went wrong, we found out that the foot activated switch in momentary mode was barely hanging in place since the two mounting screws were about to fall out. After deducing that the failure was in the lower unit, I took it in for warranty repair. It ends up that a wire had come off in the lower unit. Apparently, it is too hard to tighten screws and push on a wire for the Minnkota folks to accomplish. Thanks for a ruined fishing trip.
