Riddler's Moon / Battle Planet

This review is for the standard DVD of'Battle Planet' and 'Riddler's Moon' released by Echo Bridge Home Entertainment.I'm giving this 4 stars. Both movies are above average for their genre.'Riddler's Moon' was originally a television movie for the UPN network debuting in 1998.'Battle Planet' is a low budget movie released in 2008.'Riddler's Moon is a pretty good movie. It stars Kate Mulgrew of 'Voyager' fame. Victoria Riddler is trying to run a farm along with her handicapped son. The bank is threatening to foreclose on the Riddler farm along with just about everyone else's farm. For unknown reason's the county in which the Riddler's live has become barren. No crops are growing. Elias Riddler has a vision and soon after, the farm's crops start growing spectacularly. Nobody else in town is growing anything. Something strange is going on and it may involve aliens.'Battle Planet' is a story of a soldier who has been tricked into testing out a new battle outfit. He is sent to a warring planet to arrest possible traitors. Things get much more involved once he gets there. It is then that he finds out that he can't exit out of his suit.If you can find this DVD for a cheap price it is worth watching. Riddler's Moon is the better of the two movies. 'Battle Planet' is strictly for 'B' movie fans. It is a SyFy channel type of low budget movie. It is a decent low budget sci-fi movie.Recommended for all fans of science fiction.

RIDDLER'S MOON is the reason to buy THIS "two-fer"."Riddler's Moon" really ISN'T a sci-fi flick until the lastscene... and it throws everything into THOSE last few minutes...sorta like the 1986 film THE BOY THAT COULD FLY...which a-l-s-o moves slowly to an EXCITING good ending.Maybe TOO good to some, but I'm a BIG little kid... an OLDlittle kid.Battle Planet was okay, but, months later, all I rememeber is that itWASN'T awful.

I saw Riddler's Moon as a teenager on tv and I was very excited to be able to buy it. I haven't watched Battle Planet yet, but it seems like an interesting show to watch.I am a Kate Mulgrew fan and it's awesome to see her in a more feminine, less commanding and more vulnerable role.

I can't watc it on my DVD player. Wrong region so I had to watch it on my computer.

Good value sifi both were entertaining and interesting.

In Riddler's Moon ST VOY's Kate Mulgrew plays a single mom of a sixteen year old boy born with spina bifeda. He's a dreamer, off imagining all sorts of things as late as midnight, while she's busy attempting to keep her failing farm. When the bank decides it may foreclose it'll take a miracle to make things right... all things. If you like Kate, you'll love this film. I'll be purchasing it, have waited eagerly since it's original TV airing in 1998 for it to come to video or DVD.

I've always wanted to see this movie because my favorite actress, Kate Mulgrew was in it. I was so happy to find in on amazon.com. It arrived quickly and in good condition. It turned out to be a pretty interesting movie. Thank you!

Both are not big budget, so don't exepect blockbusters.Battle PlanetI enjoyed this one.In the futre earth is battling an alien race, they have another alien race helping them.A soldier is chosen for a top secret mission and sent on it in a special survival suit.No space battles but there is ground fighting, there tech level is like in battlestar galactica, so it's projectile weapons.Riddler's MoonThere is aliens in it but very little action, it seemed more a film my mum would watch than mine.Think ET but drawn out, slow and not very intresting.You don't see the aliens just the ship (only the boy see's the ship) and most of the film is the crippled boy trying to get his mum to do stuff in the field.It's a sickly sweet all happy at end type of film.

Unfortunatly i could not use this dvd wasn't compatable with my player, Which i thought it would be , but never mind i thought mine was region 1 or 2. But not to worry...
