Scalextric Micro The Simpsons Grand Prix Race Set (1:64 Scale)

Works well, be sure to smooth out and straighten the silver braid underneath the cars before use. Easy to assemble and takes up very little room. Advertised age is 8 plus but it's suitable for 5 plus. Only apprehension is how long the track will last, it's very lightweight.

Actually got this for DH for Christmas. It is fun but one of the cars keeps flying off at the turns. Cats think it is awesome!

Fun toy but its hard to keep the cars on the track around the turns. My grandson loves it.

I bought 2 of the Scalextric Micro The Simpsons Grand Prix Race Cars for my grandsons, 1 was all together but the other one it like one fell to sleep on the job forgetting to connect all the wires to the controls.

Got this for my son for xmas he loved it shipping was good somewhat easy to put together.

The track was ok, it wasn't easy to put it together it worked and the kids loved it. But it only lasted a few months than just stopped working. There was electricity, but the cars just would no longer go. Replaced lots of parts, but it just would never run. Seems like the controllers which were really junkily made. Would not recommend.

Great fun, but feels pretty flimsy. Cars can sometimes be tricky to get to work.

I got this for my 7 year old as his brother has a normal sized scaletric set which takes a while to set up and takes up loads of room. So far it's been perfect for him to put together himself quickly and takes up less space. Cool little Homer and Bart cars for track. My only criticism would be the cars stay on the track a little too well so it doesn't take as much skill as the larger track, although this could be an advantage for younger Kids. Great buy

This product is advertised for 3+ year olds but even at the beginner setting, where the trigger movement is reduced by mechanical means, it was nigh on impossible to keep the cars on the track. the set was purchased for my 3 year old grandsons and their father, who still has his original Scalextric sets found the same problem - there is hardly any linear control over the speed. The magnets on the underside of the cars made very little difference. I phoned Scalextric customer services whom I found very unhelpful and could offer no advice other than to send it back for a refund or replacement. He wouldn't even let me speak to a member of their tech team. I've read similar stories on the forums where others have used plug-in light dimmers to reduce the AC supply voltage to the small wall wart. We ended up removing the supplied 19V output wall wart and replacing it with a variable output DC supply which had to be reduced to 9 volts in order to get some control over the cars. This set was bought for my 3 year old grandsons birthday and they were really upset when the cars kept flying off the track and stopped using it. I would strongly advise anyone intending to purchase one of theses sets to actually see it working in a shop with a young child trying to control it - or an adult for that matter.

I bought this as a birthday present for my autistic son who loves cars once opened if couldn't wait to try it out, after putting together correctly the product hasn't worked at all my partner and i have checked and re checked and still nothing. I would NOT reccommend this!

Looked good to me, but my five year old did not want a cartoon themed race set. So I exchanged it for a set that he liked instead.
