The first light I received was DOA. I returned it without any hassles to Amazon and they sent out another instantly. The second one appeared to be DOA too. I tested it in the sockets on my boat and it would not light up. I have a 12 volt power supply in my shop and I tested it on that and it lit up. I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work on the boat. Further inspection shows that the socket pin holes are much larger than the pins on the sockets installed on my boat and that is preventing good contact to provide power to the light. I would strongly suggest you purchase a SeaSense socket and install it as it seems to fit the light perfectly and powers it well as it the same brand.

I bought this to be installed on a SeaDoo for the aft white nav light. I bought the 23957 SeaSense Stern Light Base with Locking Collar Chrome for this to plug in to. However, as for the locking mechanism talked about in the description for both this base and the base, either I'm not savvy enough to figure out how it works or it just doesn't. The two screws on the pole which are designed to slip down into the channel on the collar, lining up the light contacts correctly, end up blocking the locking collar on the pole which is supposed to slide down into the collar. Outside of that, the pole seems to fit snugly into the collar so I'm hoping it doesn't actually need the lock. I'll update this review after a couple of times on the water.

Sadly it burned up in a boat fire but I will be buying a new one next spring. It was really tall and fit right into the slot. It could be a little brighter but for the money it works just fine.

This was a replacement for the stern light I have had on my bass boat for the last 17 years. I think it is made well and I replaced the deck mount fitting that it goes into as well. I expect it to hold up.

Good product and the adjustable setting is convenient, but it didn’t fit my light pole fitting. Make sure you match the brand for the light pole socket and the light pole. It says universal fitting, but it’s not really. Ended up not using it...

Good value for my money. I was looking to change all my lights over my bot to LED to conserve battery usage while night fishing. It’s just as bright as my old one, but it’s definitely easier in my batteries

I replaced the original stern light from SeaSense with the LED Version. The one thing you need to be aware of is the original unit had an incandescent bulb and it is not polarity sensitive. The new unit is LED and it is polarity sensitive meaning it won't work if the wires as reversed. It was an easy fix and I simply reversed the wires on the input socket.

excellent. Three months after I purchased this light and only after a couple of times that I used it, it stopped working.. I sent an email to SeaSense, and they are replacing it. Great product and better customer support!!Things fail sometimes and companies that accept this and stand behind their product and NAME, even within a reasonable time after warranty has expired should be rewarded with our comments and future purchases.PS: All the other SeaSense products that I have on my boat work great and I have not had any problems... Great products and great prices!

This unit fits nicely into my Sea-Sense light pole base and the light is nice and bright with low amp draw

Only worked on my Bayliner when I reversed the polarity by removing screw and turning it 180 degrees

This product does not work straight out of box unable to return or replace . No connection from base to light .

First light I received never worked right out of the box. Easy amazon return and replacement. The replacement packing was so dusty it looked like it was found behind or under the warehouse shelving but there were no scratches and in excellent shape and best of all it works! It is really bright!Update: After being exposed to 2 rain storms, the light has water inside the bulb so it won't be long until it won't work due to corrosion. Buy from another company.
