Love these straps!
I was just going to order the straps, but one of my pedals needed replacing so I figured I'd get the full pedal with strap already attached. I read through many of the reviews, and yes, it took me about three adjustments to get the strap to the correct length. After they were adjusted correctly, it took me about two to three rides to get used to the feel. Two weeks later I made a three-day, 180 mile trip down the C&O Canal Tow path next to the Potomac River. The path was rough ride, and the first day was filled with puddles all along the trail. The straps held up great all the way through. The material is thick and tough, and the straps are very easy to get in and out of. With a slight turn of the foot you can relieve any pressure or tension that may build up after a long time in the saddle. I think these are a whole lot better than the toe cages I used to use. Oh yeah, the pedals were of pretty good quality also, no complaints there either!

Real pedals for real riding -not the usual MAMIL stuff
I wasn't digging the clipless clip in shoe thing. Seriously, why is that a thing? Take tap dance lessons, stop wandering looking for a place to pee in spandex yoga pants and tap shoes. Embrace it - go big or go home. Power grips? Yup, slide your feet into these monsters, and slide them back out - no problem. (footwear is highly recommended. You could barefoot these. You can stick you feet in a weed wacker too, but you wouldn't) The power grips are aptly named. You can pull back up on the backstroke, or you can get a rotational flow going - no slip, no problem. Pre-assembled is great. Just wrench the old pedals off and put these on. I can't really imagine messing around with assembly on these - I doubt it would really save you any money. I've tried them out on all three of the bikes I regularly use. I'll probably order a few more pair and just leave them on each bike.

Not a clip replacement: better suited for a casual commuter or flat/forward-foot riding style
I got these for a friend who had the old 'buckle straps'. She really enjoyed these pedals because they are EASIER TO USE THAN BUCKLES as there is no need to lean at all and are ACCOMMODATING TO A WIDE VARIETY OF SHOES, within reason - she's a girl, after all :)I personal prefer clips and enjoy the amount of pull-up ability they provide; but for a "city commuter" who wants a little bit of control and/or doesn't want to deal with special shoes or cleats, THESE SHOULD BE ON THE LIST OF THINGS TO TRY - they are quite inexpensive in terms of cycle gear.Compared to clips THE STRAPS LOOSEN ON THE 'BACKWARD STROKE' WHEN LEANING FORWARD; with clips I like to be able to "toe-down" and pull through the stroke - these are more suited for a more casual/upright posture and pedal style. I also found clips better for moving the foot back because of the more consistent lock. They might also be suited for other upright and foot-forward disciplines like trail riding (or long distance touring), but I don't have experience with such. The pedals themselves are nothing fancy but are quite sturdy and far better than those found on basic department store bicycles.I rated 4/5 stars only because the are not my thing.

Excellent replacement for clip ins. Never used a clip in? Try these and see how much more connected to your bike you can be!
Have had these for 7 months. Replaced my lock in pedals after I realized I could not snap out the way I used to. Well, I did not want to have no way to pull up on a stroke. I looked for a few months and these were mentioned. I thought, cant be as bad as the old strap and metal clip solution.Well they are not like the old solution at all. Once i put them on and got them adjusted, they worked great. I used these on my street bike. I still have clip ons for the mountain bike. But I now use my mountain bike shoes on these! Perfect in every way, but one, which is why I gave it four stars. When I go to uncouple from them it requires a specific movement with my foot and ankle. SOMETIMEs, not every time, they get caught and I have a panic thinking I won't get out. Likely my own fault or due to using MB shoe.If you feel like it is time to replace the clip in, this is the answer. They behave the same way but without the soreness in the middle of my foot from the clip!!!!

They Keep Your Feet on the Pedals with All Kinds of Shoes and Sandals
I got these when I bought a used cruiser bike for short errands around town.I like to be able to pull the pedal into the up position at stop signs, and I feel more secure on the bike with my feet held in place. But then I'm more often seen on a lightweight bike in lycra wearing pointy shoes with cleats that snap onto the pedals. It took a few trials to get the length of the straps adjusted so that they weren't too tight or too loose with several different shoes. The adjustment takes some nuts and bolts tools and effort, but for me it was worth it.

I use them on my Peloton
Made the Peloton much more comfortable to ride as it allows movement to accommodate all of the joints from foot to lower spine. Using clip in pedals with hardsole cycling shoes was causing ankle, knee and hip discomfort. Easy to install.

They work.
Been using PowerGrip straps since the mid 90's. First time buying the complete pedals. Difference between these and my original straps. The straps on these have holes in the for adjustment.

the Grips were small when opened to the last hole so I gave them away and ordered the extra large for like $14 more then the reg
I would have given the Power Grips 5 stars for function but for the fact that the people who are in charge of engineering must have been at the bottom of their class. Why: I bought the regular Power Grips BECAUSE they said if you wear a size 12 shoe or less they will fit, OK, I wear 8.5 but a wide 8.5 but not near size 13, the Grips were small when opened to the last hole so I gave them away and ordered the extra large for like $14 more then the regulars cost. WOW ! talk about big, I used the first hole and they were to big for my 6 E wide foot, now I needed to make my own holes, a pain in the ass because a drill does not work very well on glue/material (so use a red hot nail). My complaint is they do not transition the regular strap holes to into the extra large strap hole (they leave a gap in size). ALSO STOP going by shoe size and simply state 12" dia. around the wide/ball of your shoe and smaller gets the regular, over 12" dia. buy the rip off extra large Power Grips and for God sake transition the hole placement smoothly. Otherwise they work good, I needed them for extra power on a fat tire trike.

Pedals yes, straps, meh.
The pedals what I wanted- all metal and able to spike right into my shoe soles. The straps I took off and replaced with the 90s-style toe clips (no straps).

Straps are great, pedals are junk
Straps are great, pedals are junk. One pedal failed just outside of the return window, at 32 days of ownership and about 200 miles of light riding on a casual city commuter bike.

Unsafe at any speed.
The straps are too short to use with boots. Entry and exit are impossible and any attempt to "try them out anyway" will quickly result in a rubber side up situation.

They work great! To me they are easier to get into, and they donโt make the pedal so long!
