Amazing book. Buy it and read it if you are interested to know the invisible hands that control the economics/finance of the world.I studied economics (BA and MSc level) nearly 30 years ago. My understanding was that the Federal Reserve was the USA's Central bank and was controlled by the United States government (just like any other developed country). I was wrong. My university Lecturers were wrong as well.

A fascinating insight to the world of currency issuance and real money
This book is very informative , revealing and exceptionally well written and for one addressing such a subject which normally does not lend itself to an 'easy read'. Excellent value.

Incredible to think..
Only part way through, it's an eye opener and almost unbelievable. It's a big heavy book so not light reading but finding it very interesting.

Fascinating book
It teaches you about things you haven't the least idea about and in a very readable way. Some of the authors conclusions I would take issue with but generally it is very convincing

Thought provoking
I enjoyed reading this book very much. There is much to discuss in regards to the motives behind the bailouts.

Essential reading?
I'm torn in my regard for G. Edward Griffin, and this book. On the one hand, it's a good read, and covers a very essential subject. On the other, now that, having read it, I see that he's taken all of Eustace Mullin's work from his Federal Reserve book, and not bothered to cite him, so I don't feel happy giving it an across the board thumbs up.I think as with all of Griffin's work, the ease with which you can glide through the endless details is superb, and the un-emotive, down to earth, and unpretentious use of words and ideas is perfect.Lending people money with debt attached to it is clearly evil and can only lead to misery. Obviously this was unlawful in Christendom, but the success of the retardation of the propaganda has rendered such evils conceivable and widely accepted centuries after their outlaw. The fact is, that if everyone in the world read this book, and took on board the story, there would be a very swift cessation to all wars, unmanageable taxes and debts, and it would be hard to see how they could ever return. People unfortunately love the fascism too much and they love watching the idiot box and reading the news papers. Intelligence is sniggered at and idiots are glorified. Watching football is seen as a manly interest, rather than a childish or occasional hobby. This is a good buy. You won't be disappointed as it's detailed but never boring.

If you've ever wondered about how world finances really work, then read this.
Reading this may shake your reality somewhat however, this is an education which you will never get in school under economics or banking. This has been hidden for a reason. Read it and find out the real why to boom & bust and more.
