I tried 7 different types of recovery cones for my cat and this one is really the best: light weight, hard plastic so he can't bend it to lick wound, transparent so won't stress by blocking vision, soft edges so when he uses the cone to scratch wound it won't damage skin, the diameter is very wide so whiskers have space, the collar is soft and elastic so won't hurt and is comfortable to sleep, Velcro is very strong, so easy to take off and put back with the pins.Easy to wash, it does take a while to dry but it's normal cause it's fabric.Just if my pet really wants to take it off he finds a way so have to monitor him or switch to classic hard plastic collar.

Well made, really soft & thick neck material piece and good Velcro and snap collar. However, even the smallest size was no match for my skinny, long neck kitty. He was out of it in a jiffy. Will try again, but he will definitely have to be monitored 100% whilst wearing it as I don’t want it to slip and catch him wrong. I’m sure this would work on another breed of cat or small dog and be comfortable for them.

I measure my french bulldog’s neck width and length and following the table in the product photos i chose a L. Surprising i know but the product fits well and my dog is a year old so will fit her as she grows which makes it a good investment.She is resistant and has tried to remove it with no luck which is extremely helpful because its the only way to stop her itching her ears while they recover from ear mites.Good product and flexible so she can still sleep while wearing it

Very good item for the price. I bought this to replace the one the vet supplied as that one was cutting into the poor dogs throat. This one has a nice soft edging to it and once on, the dogs entire demeanour changed. He was happy after 4 days of wearing the vet's torture collar. I will say that it is bigger than I expected and also a lot heavier, but then it is good quality. Very easy to put on and take of via the velcro strip at the neck and 1 or 2 push studs at the outer edge. Quite pricey for the amount of use it's likely to have, but well worth it seeing as the dog is not being tortured anymore.

Sent back due to being to small even though i followed the measurement guide on the site and ordered size accordingly.Collar was delivered fast but was far to small as didnt fasten properly and my dog easily managed to get it off.Collar may be comfortable for dog if fitted properly so cant comment true comfort for this item.To clean...its easy to wipe down the clear plastic but does crease when bending as did this one when my dog was getting it off. fur part of collar looks nice but if you have a dog that is molting ( which mine was at the time) the fur sticks to the velvet and its a night mare to get off.However, Amazon refunded my money no quibble when item was received back.still recommend the old vet collars as never come of and do the job brill.

Well, after 24 hours, the plastic split Three days later and it hasn't got any worse so perhaps that's the penalty for using clear plastic - not as strong as the opaque stuff, perhaps.The clear sides are a big help for our Millie dog - less shut-in feeling than the opaque one from the vets, IT SEEMS.But there is BIG problem! The sides are not as long as those on the vetinary one. Millie can easily reach her toes and JUST access the nasty leg wound she is supposed not to lick. She is a lurcher with long legs but a short 'staffy' muzzle. Her long-muzzle brother would reach round the cone sides really easily.Why there aren't more cones with clear sides available I don't know. The idea is great. This one is just badly designed.+-

Small was perfect for a 3kg adult cat. It is rigid so she cannot reach her lower abdominal stitches, but she can eat and drink as normal. The soft collar and edge are great for when they go around nutting everything. Comfort for her and fewer distressing crashes and bangs for all of us. She got the vet baby-grow off in about 30 secs, despite being off her head in ketamine, so very glad we had one of these waiting. Easy to put on, fit, and has strong press studs. Would recommend you get two so you can clean one and let it dry (the fabric edge can get a bit dirty and wet from food and drink - I can see how an entirely fabric one would be pretty useless). She hasn’t enjoyed not being able to groom, but that’s the point! She has been able to sleep and snuggle with no problem too. She’s had it on a week today and adjusted to it beautifully. No struggles when we swap it over either. At a very stressful time, I am very glad to have a product that does exactly what it should.

Great cone. Lovely soft collar round the neck that died up with Velcro. Then lots of poppers for how wide you want the cone to be. So much more comfortable. We have a lab and fits well
