Very sturdy chairs. Value for money.

I'll give it five stars for the chunky chair. But I'm disappointed by the packaging and that someone had been inside my package and taken my screws and bolts and washers, then I had to ask my neighbour for substitute to to put my chunky chair together,

A good looking sturdy chair when built,easy to assemble and comfortable to sit in.

My two chairs arrived on the day forecast. The packing is barely adequate. For some curious reason there is a handful (or maybe two) of shredded cardboard thrown in as protection...ha. There were no instructions included, but assembly is pretty simple. Best advice is to lay out the parts and figure out the orientation of the seat, legs and seat back. Then insert the coach screws through the legs in pairs front and back on the seat and lower and upper on the seat back. If you buy more than one chair do not mix up the parts.....they may not be interchangeable. There are a couple of things I would advise. First is the paint the coach screw heads with Hammerite black or brown spray paint before you assemble the chair. It really does look better than the galvanised finish. Second, in my case I used a DeWalt drill /driver with a 13mm nut setter to assemble and tighten the coach screw nuts, but if you do, use both hands on the drill to avoid spraining your wrist and use a low torque setting to avoid splitting the wood - you can do the final tightening using a 13mm spanner. I have given this 4 stars because in my case there was some minor transit damage which I fixed myself.

I ordered 2 of these and on opening the first, found many exposed nails, holes drilled twice instead of once, flaking wood and holes so badly aligned the pieces could never have been assembled without redrilling the correctly-aligned holes. Seller issued a Returns Material Authorisation on receipt of the above photos but would not provide prepaid returns label and asked for further photos. I refused as had fully repacked the item. Return cost for the 2 heavy boxes was £24, which seller refused to refund then claiming the return was unauthorised (despite their RMA). For the record they were completely in breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Fortunately Amazon stepped in to refund the return postage. No surprise I can't recommend the chair nor the supplier.

The package is rubbish so both we bought need repair but when assembly are nice seats. They have just been put in a box and moved while being delivered if there was some package material it would be 5 stars
