TimeVision Analog Travel Alarm Clock, ATC0745 (Black)

After searching and reading reviews, I'm glad I chose this analog travel alarm clock over various digital travel alarms. I bought the soft green case for higher visibility. We haven't traveled yet with this clock, but we opened and checked how it functions and tested the alarm. The alarm begins softly and grows loud, surely guaranteed to wake even a sound sleeper. It has 4 series of an pitch tone (several tones in a couple seconds, a pause, more tones, repeat...) that begins softly (but very audible) and increases in volume and speed with each tone series, with the last series being the loudest. On the back of the clock, there is a tiny disc battery in a compartment that opens with a coin. That is where the alarm and time are set by twisting each of the 2 round dials that are slightly raised and have a raised pattern. Gently grip the edges of dial with even the shortest fingernails and easily twist. No strength required.I have good hearing and hear no ticking noise when the clock is held in front of me in my hands. The clock fits in my palm (I am female) and easily pulls or swivels sideways out of the cover / case, so that the case is level with the clock itself and creates a stable unit to set on a table. Folded securely back into the case, the clock should travel safely adding almost no weight. It would fit flat in a shoe or snuggle into even a fully packed bag.Around the perimeter of the face is a moveable bezel with little 'bumps' to line up with current time in your location, so that the world time zones can be viewed with their proper times. Calculating time elsewhere in the world will be generally accurate, + or - maybe 10 to 15 minutes depending on how accurately you line up your current time. Also around the bezel are 24 hour 'military' time indicators. There is no light for the face of the clock, but even a tiny penlight or the back light from a phone or Kindle for instance will provide light. I understand there is an App for a phone flashlight, but I don't have the App. We usually travel with a bathroom nightlight and leave the door ajar about 1/2 to 1 inch...that should provide enough soft glow to make the clock's white face visible in an otherwise dark room. So far I give this clock 5 stars. If it fails to wake us up later on, I'll update my review.

This affordable travel alarm clock was exactly what I was looking for: a straightforward, easy to use alarm clock that was small and packable for travel but didn't make lots of light or noise. This clock is quiet (you can barely hear it tick, especially if its case is closed) and doesn't have a radio or an MP3 jack or any of that mess. No LED lights on this clock, thank goodness!This clock is perfect for travel because it is small and light, but I also prefer it for everyday use. I would recommend this clock to anyone who wants a no frills alarm clock that simply does its job and is straightforward to set and to use.

A great investment - especially if you're tired of doing digital number puzzles to get a clock set and need to change alarm time regularly. The outer circle is not easily understood for folks who don't travel far enough to be used to multiple time zones and a bit useless. But I would have bought it anyway for the simplicity of use and low price - very happy with product!

the leather casing is a nice touch, but the clock itself is pretty cheap. everything is plastic and definitely not worth the pricetag. When I first opened it, the hands of the clock would not align properly. who wants a clock that cant tell the right time! I dropped it on carpet once, and you could hear the cogs inside the clock rattling. Stopped telling the correct time all together after that. waste of money

Its cute and has a loud ring , the material isn't very durable though.

This item replaces a travel alarm that I've borrowed the last couple trips. Very light in weight which is a real plus with checked luggage at the airlines now a days. Works great, woke me up on time every time. Very easy to change time to accommodate movement from time zone to time zone - to ship's time. The second hand does stop at each second resulting in a very soft ticking noise but I have to hold it up to my ear to hear it so it's no bother. Effectively silent from across the room. I anticipate using this at home during storms where there is a risk of a power outage, so it's proving to be a great little back up.Arrived in a timely manner (pun intended) and despite being light in weight, does not appear to be cheap.
