Elementary Number Theory

just like the doctor ordered. not a bad subject, a great class and luckily i had an even better teacher. I think I could have undrestood this in elementary school

Some of the explanations in this text are somewhat 'hand-wavy,' but I find it endearing regardless. If this is your first exposure to number theory, I think it will serve you well. The reason I would recommend this text is because it prioritizes the reader's intuition for a subject over the technical intricacies, which is a weakness, but I believe it will help newcomers more than the technical bit. That being said, if you are still developing a command of advanced mathematical language, then this would be great for you.

Readable and understandable. Wish there was a student solutions manual for the exercises.

Some of the chapters are well explained and easy to understand, but when you move on to harder chapters, its explanation is confusing. If you are new to number theory, consider another one.
